The Mount Kisco post office was established in 1836 and discontinued in 1976. The name "Kisco" is derived from the Mohawk word "kisiski," meaning "a high peak." The peak's height is said to be above 6,000 feet (1,500 metres). At one time it was thought that the peak may have been named for a means of access to the village from elsewhere in Monroe County. There are several theories about how the name got its start: One theory suggests that early residents called the mountain 'Kisiski' because they could see it from their homes on a high point near their property line. Another theory suggests that a local trader named John Kisiski first proposed naming the peak after his home town of Kingston-on-Hudson when he learned that other settlements were also using this term for highpoints in their area. No definitive proof exists to support any of these theories, but they likely had something to do with marketing or branding purposes at some point during their development. In 1836, Mount Kisco's first post office opened as part of an effort by New York State to promote rural settlement and improve communications within its constituent counties. Theoffice operated until 1976 when it was closed due to declining mail volume and lack of interest by locals. In recent years, there has been renewed interest in keeping Mt Kisco's history alive through various events and programs such as interpretive walks and heritage weddings services offered by nearby businesses such as Thirsty Dog Coffee Shop & Bistro

Throughout the 1800s, firearm manufacturers continued to increase their production rates in order to keep up with demand from consumers worldwide. However, it wasn’t until 1892 that Smith & Wesson finally introduced its famous revolver model #521 into the market! This weapon quickly became wildly popular and saw widespread use throughout America due to its ease of operation and reliable performance! However, this order was not carried out until 1870 when operations began to remove all Native American people from Buffalo Valley by force. When America gained its independence from Great Britain in 1776, many New Yorkers were eager for their country to succeed as an independent nation without European interference. There was no official government until 1787 when George Washington appointed a commission to organize Pennsylvaniasylvania into a new state because he felt Pennsylvania would be more successful if it had its own government than under British rule. On July 24th of that year Congress passed the Treaty of Paris which ceded territory north of Mexico City to Spain including what is now Mount Kisco as well as much of upstate New York west of Lake Ontario including Syracuse and Albany Castle Hill are still part of Canada today despite claims by some residents that they are Utopia or Islay Isle according to some Internet conspiracy theories while others maintain they are still within our borders
On Mount Kisco, New York, the first successful cotton gin in the United States was built in 1794 by Elias Howe. In 1806, a post office was established at Mount Kisco; it continued to be operation until 1919. The town of Mount Kisco came about as a result of the construction of the Erie Canal and its connection with the surrounding area.
