In 1892, George Healey opened his business in what is now known as Healey's Hardware & Lock Shop on Main Street in Mineola. At that time, GUNLOCKS were still an extremely rare commodity and very expensive to purchase outright; they were instead typically rented from local farmers or leased from other businesses when needed. However, due to Healey's successful salesmanship and perseverance, GUNLOCKS became increasingly popular throughout Central New York during the early part of the 20th century. - By 1951, Healey had developed into one of the largestGunlock dealerships in North America.. - In 1971 he sold his business to Milton Fenton and continued operations until 2003 when it was purchased by Shelly’s Locks Incorporated . Today Shelly’s Locks operates under two names: Milton Fenton Gunlocks Incorporated (Milton) and Shelly’s Gunsmithing & Security Solutions Incorporated (Shelly).

Today, Mineola remains a bedroom community for Westchester County with its own school system and shopping center. Minesola has been variously known as "The HillTop Village" or "The pretty Village". It was first settled by German immigrants in the mid-18th century and soon developed into an prosperous farming community with tannery, flour milling and other industries. The post-Revolutionary years were difficult forMineola as it lost its key commercial center to Saratoga Springs but slowly regained some vitality through attracting new residents and businesses over time. Inventory today reflects much of what existed during that time: neoclassical homes dating back to 1814 stand among contemporary shops and restaurants; a Georgian-style church (established in 1796) still serves as a meeting place for local officials; antique stores dot the streets; and several historic buildings have been repurposed as housing units or condos. During World War II Mineolas main industry was aircraft construction which led to many jobs being created right here in town such as mine workers at nearby Niagara Falls Airport - all while keeping Mineolas delicate infrastructure running smoothly like its water systems! AfterwardMineoli recovered quickly thanks to job growth in health care (including hospitals like Lenox Hill Hospital)
