American Gun Grips was started in 1892 by John W. Dunlap and his brother Samuel L. Dunlap. Dunlap died and his brother Samuel took over as president of American Gun Grips. Samuel L. Dunlap continued to run the company until he passed away in 1932. American Gun Grips survived World War II without any damage done to their facilities or product line-up. In 1947, Samuel L Dunlap handed over control of American Gun Grips to his son John W Jr., who kept the name alive as an independent business until 1978 when it was bought by Glock Incorporated (now part of Beretta Group). At Glock Incorporated, American Gun Grips continued production under new management until 1991 when it was sold again to Borelli Firearms Corporation (Beretta group’s parent company) which then restarted production at its old facility in Mineola, New York under that name until 2003 when it merged with Brownells Incorporated (a component of Colt Industries) creating Brownells/American Guns International LLC which still manufacturesguns today!

After World War II,Mineolas reliance on agriculture increased as mills closed down or were converted to other types of commerce; however, mine tourism began to develop during this time as people discovered nearby beaches and cliffs with excellent seafood resources. Today Mineolas' primary industry is that of housing development which accounts for over 60% of its total economic activity while also providing jobs for a variety of local workers including many who are originally from out-of-towners who come to visit their families during summer vacations or make a weekend home stay while visiting friends or family members in Greater New York City. The history of Mineola began with Isaac Mineolan who came to Manhasset from Scotland in 1624 AD with his family and started what would become one of Long Island's most successful farming communities by operating three lime kilns along with his own cows and horses until he sold all his land to Nathaniel Greene in 1764 AD for $1 million! Over time Mineolas reputation grew even further as an ideal place to raise children because it had good schools (Abingdon School being founded here), churches (the first being built here), restaurants (the oldest existing restaurant still open today being called Deacon’s Buffet), theaters (including two famous vaudeville theaters later burned down), golf courses(one now used as a botanical garden), tennis courts(one now inside the new Town Hall building)and much more!
Mineola was first settled in 1785 by John Mason, who named it for his mother, Mineola. The town began to grow rapidly in the late 1800s and reached peak development around 1910. However, during World War II the town was destroyed by a bombing raid. In the postwar years Mineola slowly regained its former prosperity as a bedroom community for New York City. However, rapid gentrification has recently begun to force many of the town's residents out of their homes and into new neighborhoods in north-central Manhattan.
