Gun lights were first patented in 1858 by Nicholas-Jacques Conte. The device consisted of a small light bulb that was screwed to the barrel of a gun and had an attached cloth or paper shade. Gunmakers would place this light on the target when they wanted to shoot, letting them know where their shot was going to hit. One of the earliest gunlights used steel wire instead of cloth because it did not cause too much noise when firing. By 1870, there were also Introduced iron sights which allowed shooters to aim at a specific point without having to look down the barrel. In 1892, German inventor Franz Kapp filed for US Patent 4,851,151 for a “Gewehrlicht” (gunlight), using an iron lens with a shutter that opened and closed like a camera shutter. This made it possible for gunners in trench warfare to see their targets clearly while firing over long distances. In 1903, American inventor John Brownell patented what he called “The Brownells Rifle Sight” which featured adjustable optics so that shooters could adjust their shots according to distance and angle. This made it possible for soldiers on both sides of World War I to use different types of guns with better accuracy and range than ever before! handguns became more common during World War II as bombings increased in frequency and size; however, many commercial handgun manufacturers decided not to produce guns with bulletproof protection as production lines were geared towards making firearms that would be used in combat rather than protect civilians from harm. However, some companies such as Colt produced pistols fitted with armor plating which gave them an advantage against fighters who wielded swords or other weaponized attacks

In 1812, the first pistol light was invented in Middletown by Nicholas-Jacques Conte. The gun light consisted of a hand-held tube with a small lens at the end, used to aim and fire pistols. The weapon light was abandoned after just one season due to its low rate of success. However, it was resurrected in 1814 by Captain John Paulding as part of his campaign against the French in Canada. Paulding's version featured a handheld lantern with a small lens that could be aimed at an enemy soldier through an eyepiece. This new weapon light became known as the "Paulding Pistol Light". It proved successful and continued to be used during the War of 1812 and into the American Civil War. During World War II, artillerymen using anti-aircraft guns using high explosive rounds were able to engage targets more easily if they had accurate gunfire going in every direction at once instead of having only some bits go over each target while other pieces hit their intended target. This led to development of much larger weapons which used multiple calibers (e.g., machineguns) instead of just one caliber for all shots
Middletown, New York is a small town located in the Finger Lakes region of upstate New York. The population was 5,000 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Utica-Rome, NY Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town was first settled by German Protestants in 1784. Middletown has been spelled "Midleton" since 1796 and "Midleton" since 1802. The community's name derives from one of its founders, Nicholas Midleton, who named it after his home town of Middlestown, Pennsylvania. Today, Middletown is a primarily agricultural community with single-family homes and farmsteads dating back to the 1800s. However, there are also some scattered businesses and residences in the center of town as well as a few small businesses on Main Street near the jail and post office buildings. The majority of residents are self-employed farmers or fishermen who practice their trade on their own lands or within short distances of commercial fishing fleets that operate out of nearby Utica and Rome. The oldest building in MiddletOWN is said to be an old log cabin which dates back to1784 when Germans began settling in this area along with other settlers from Pennsylvania and New York State. One story tells about how a man named John Dennison built himself a cabin here after fleeing British tyranny during the Stamp Act crisis in 1765; another version has it that Reverend Daniel Wilson built himself a cabin here following his return from service as an chaplain with General Washington’s army during America's Revolutionary War period (the original spelling for this place may have been “Winchester”). In any case, both men were honored guests at Captains John Slattery’s dinner party held October 8th/9th 1786 at Mr Slattery’s house on what is now Route 9A just eastof present day First Street Bridge across Mohawk River opposite current day Middle Street Bridge - thenceforward known as Captain John Dennison House Historic Site! Thereafter various houses were erected around this site including: A & P Wagon Works (later renamed Eastman Kodak Company), J C Hargrave Estate (later Mrs Hargrave Manor), Dr Smith & Son Photographer Shop (later Chas Folsom Photography) & Mrs Hargrave Manor House which still stands today! Some say that one reason why these early structures became so prominent was because they could be seen from miles away while others attribute it to being situated very close to major transportation arteries such as Mohawk River crossings like route 9A which linked up with then routing 7 rural routes leading into downtown Utica making it easy for people living hereabouts to get aboard freight trains arriving at either Seneca Lake or Rome for marketting their products! By 1892 however all but two structures had been destroyed by fire!!! This included Replacements for A&P Wagon Works / Eastman Kodak Company building now occupied by Rheingold Wine Merchants Inc., Dr Smith & Son Photographer Shop / Chas Folsom Photography store now occupied by Powers Hardware Store before finally becoming residence property owned by Mrs Hargrave until her death in 1957! Today approximately 60% or all remaining Structure still standing!!!!!!!!!!!!!
