Eventually Big John was able to free himself but caused such an uproar among local farmers that they burned down his equipment instead; this event served as a rallying cry for local fishermen who banded together to get him out of their way again! The town of Babylon began growing up around Saybrook Point until 1828 when it merged with neighboring Babylon Village into one large village named after both places - Long Beach! In 1853, part of Huntington Station - then part of Nassau County - became incorporated as unincorporated Farmingdale within Long Beach village boundaries! This gave rise to another nickname for Long Beach: “the Farmingdale Capital” because so much development took place here during this time period! After years of growth and change over many decades, by 1970 Long Beach had become one of America’s fastest-growing cities with its own police department – just like any other big city! And today?
