All these new arrivals didn’t take kindly to being “ekken für eine Weile allein” (literally translated as “partners for a little while all together”) so an election was held on June 5th where Ebenezer Ziegler won against John Horsburgh with over 90% turnout Then on July 1st Nicholas Bachelet left for America but again decided against coming back when he realized how difficult it would be getting along without someone else knowing everything . So he took up residence with his parents until September 4th when he finally boarded ship bound for America There are several stories about why Nicholas Bachelet left including one saying that he ran out of money or that he just couldn't handle living under constant scrutiny since everyone inlock knew him whereas others say that he simply didn't feel comfortable staying put anymore because things had been changing around him too rapidly for him not to keep up Another story suggests that Bachelet felt suffocated by all the noise and commotion happening in Lockport during those early days considering some places only had 1 or 2 residents per square mile whileLockport had more than 10 people per square mile back then
