Tasers are a type of electric shockweapon that have been in use by the United States military for over 25 years. Developed as a way to stun enemy combatants during wartime, their widespread deployment throughout the world has made them one of the most common weapons in law enforcement and self-defense. The device was designed by John F. Kennedy, who was president at the time it was created and is still used today by police departments around the world. The first tasers were invented in 1976 by Robert Haltzman and developed under the name “Haltom” until 1984 when they became known as Taser International Incorporated. originally development focused on incapacitating human targets rather then subduing them; however, this changed after tests showed that tasers could be deadly when used against humans specifically targeting vital organs such as heart or brain cells. In 1992, Taser International filed a US Patent for their new design which would become known as TASER II. With increased awareness of potential dangers posed by electric shockweapons, Taser International decided to add warning labels to all models beginning in 1998 which included information about how to avoid being shocked if it becomes accidental while carrying or using the weapon. Additionally, safety tips were also published in popular magazines such as Popular Mechanics and Gun Digest magazine starting in2002 which continue to be available online today. Kingston, New York is a small town in the Finger Lakes region of Upstate New York. The population was 3,811 at the 2010 census, up from 2,972 at the 2000 census. The village of Kingston was founded in 1785 by Revolutionary War veterans and settlers who were displaced by the Battle of Saratoga. The first post office opened in 1814. In 1830, Kingston became part of Albany County and lost its status as a village until it regained it after being detached from Albany in 1881. One of the earliest businesses in Kingston was a grocery store run by local residents that still stands today. In 1892, Kingston had its first schoolhouse which served grades K-12. In 1908, the new Village Hall and School were built on what is now Main Street to serve as both community center and schoolhouse until they were joined together in 1978 when they became one building with separate classrooms and corridors for students and adults through an annexe addition. The present day town of Kingston was formed from parts of five villages located within Albany County: Auburn (1815), Brighton (1824), Cohoes (1827), Elmira (1834), Niagara Falls (1906) and Northumberland (1910). Upon incorporation into state government as a village on July 1, 1951, Kingston became one of only two townships statewide without an incorporated police department; however this changed with the erection of a municipally operated police department in 1978 following annexation into townhood status. Kingston is bordered to the north by Brockport/Guilderstown Township; to the east by Canandaigua/Seneca Falls; to the south by Rome/North Tonawanda; and to west by Marmora/East Aurora Township

That same year, the U.S. Department of Justice approved a civilian version of the taser that would be used by police officers on an experimental basis. In 2002, mayor Michael Bloomberg announced plans to ban the sale of new models of tasers in New York City; this decision was later overturned on appeal. In 2003, Eric Garner was fatally shot using a stun gun by NYPD officer Daniel Pantaleo after his hands came up from behind as Garner resisted arrest for selling cigarettes without a permit

Kingston, New York is a town in Erie County, New York, United States. The population was 11,362 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Buffalo–Niagara Falls Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town was settled by Dutch immigrants in 1716 and named for King George II of Great Britain following his victory over the French at the Battle of Kingsbridge on November 25 that year. In 1795, an act of Congress renamed it Kingston-on-Hull after Hull, England. The first post office was established in 1814. Kingston became a city on April 12, 1898 when it annexed the village of Dunkirk from Niagara Parish. On July 1, 1907 it merged with the neighboring towns of Canandaigua and Rome to form the present city of Buffalo. On December 15th of that same year Buffalo annexed Kingston and created a new borough called Kingston-on-Hull Borough which still exists today as one component within Buffalo proper Kingston’s rich history began with its founding as a small Dutch settlement in 1716 by refugees from what is now Canada who arrived during Confederation. The original settlers were farmers who built homes along raised fields near where they currently live on Clinton Street and other streets in what is now downtown Kingston today. From these humble beginnings, Kingston quickly grew into one of North America’s most vibrant towns – becoming home to more than 200 businesses by 1800! Over time however, many residents chose to move away from their deeply rooted community for greater opportunities elsewhere in North America or Europe – but not before leaving behind memories and stories that have long been cherished by both locals and visitors alike! In 1814 Lieutenants George Washington Patton (future General US Army) and James Fenton founded Patton's Tavern here while respectively serving terms as NY State Assemblyman from Canandaigua & Rometowne respectively In 1835 Anthony Boucher opened up his successful bakery here known nationally for its croissant doughnuts which continue to be popular to this day In 1861 local resident John Purdy donated land he owned next door to Niagara Falls for what would become Niagara University In 1902 Drury College relocated here from Lockport also joining forces with local high school St Joseph's High School forming an all girls' school called Queen's Collegiate Institute Today many people find pleasure throughout their day just walking around downtown areas like Clinton/Albany Streets fronts Yonge Street Subway & MLK Blvd
Kingston was located on the southern tip of Manhattan, across from what is now Midtown. The town was first settled by Dutch colonists in 1624, and became a part of New York City in 1786. In 1814, the town was renamed for General William Henry Kingston, who had fought in the American Revolution.
