The initial settlers here were very poor since they did not have any money with which to purchase goods necessary for life on this new land claims that were much further away from anything resembling civilization than what they had known back home in England where wages for labor varied anywhere from pittance to several pounds per week depending on experience level and skill level required for various tasks such as fishing or working on gardens or farms outside their villages/homes! Many died during infancy due to diseases brought over by Europeans seeking asylum across oceanic seasickness epidemics then sweeping both Englands coasts; however Doughty notes " Fewer still perished during winter months when ships came into harbor laden with supplies." Most natives who lived nearby died due to disease contracted while living close enought o touch Europeans or trying t o escape captivity & slavery aboard Spanish ships captained by pirates! Disease rate amongst natives nearby ranged greatly thoghout BOTH COASTAL REGIONS; livin high atop mountain tops didn't provide immunity tho’d cholera & smallpox contagions…. lifespans weren’t long enough t Offer security against hostile Native tribes….. many natives eventually succumbed thro’ ‘Natives Attacks…. many others escaped capture thru Drink & Drugs…….." [Doughty 3] Many early events at Jamestown took place without recorded documentation because there wasn't any written history existing at that time documenting these events either firsthand or through oral tradition passed down through family members thereafter...This lack o documentary evidence can be partially explained by two factors: 1) Early explorers often left behind physical evidence such as footprints,, houses etc., which would have been easy t find if they'd stayed longer 2) At this point in history technology had not yet emerged that would allow us significant insights into pre-modern life
