So, a local blacksmith created a system of target holders that allowed people to shoot at stationary targets without having to leave their homes. This system continued until 1945, when World War II began and demand for ammo skyrocketed. The town finally abandoned its target holders in 1948.
Fulton, New York is a small village in the town of Fulton, New York, United States. The population was 2,895 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Oneonta-Elmira-Albany census area. Fulton was founded by Nicholas Long and his family in 1736 as a trading post on the west bank of the Mohawk River. The post served as a center for trade with other villages along the river and beyond. In 1811, John Hawkins purchased land from Nicholas Long and established Hawkinsville on what is now Fulton's east side. In 1825, he sold his holdings to General John Sullivan for $10,000. This purchase included much of present day Fulton Village including its downtown square and several homes on Main Street. In 1830, Nathaniel Gage built a gristmill on what is now Main Street in what is today downtown Fulton. Gage was one of America's first farmers and developed this area into an agricultural center during the 1830s and 1840s. Some nearby settlements which grew up around Gage's mill include Westinghouse (now part of Oneonta), Eastinghouse (now part of Elmira), Pascagoula Heights (now part of Townshend), Pleasant Valley (now part of Alfred) and Old Mill Site No.. 1 (now known as First Presbyterian Church). The first school in Fulton opened in 1848 on Clinton Street near where First Presbyterian Church stands today. This school taught children from kindergarten through eighth grade until it closed in 1861 due to financial constraints brought about by World War II; however, memories of this school persist throughout Fulton today! In 1865, General Ulysses S Grant visited America's new State capital at Albany while traveling through New York State; during his visit he inspected Fort Niagara within walking distance of Albanytown Center where he later spent time living quarters before returning home to California via Buffalo Bayou on July 4th 1865 aboard USS "Hercules". When news reached Grant that Mexico had successfully attacked American forces at Palo Alto Pass outside Mexicali on October 8th 1863 resulted in heavy casualties among Union troops near Atchewkee Creek just south(west)of present day Atchison County line- Grant ordered Major General George Tilden to cross over Chisholm Trail northward towards Palo Alto Pass with intent to flank Mexican positions - this order led eventually to American victory at Buena Vista Hill overall against vastly superior enemy numbers resulting in more than 5 million casualties primarily among Confederate forces - see also Battle Of Palo Alto pass for more detailed information This event helped solidify Grant's reputation as one OF THE GREAT US MILITARY commanders during both American Civil War era & World War II eras – even being cited by President Ronald Reagan himself when referring to Gen Ulysses S Wright’s Victory Medal Citation for actions leading up To Buena Vista Hill ↑

Mr. Wernick’s early interest in target shooting led him to start making his own targets and holders back then. In 1950, he started selling dummy targets that could be used for practice at home or at the range. In 1951, he introduced what is now known as Shooting Target Holder #1 which consisted of a metal tray with a round hole drilled through it on one end and attached to a post or staff using several screws. It was not easy to hold onto the post/staff when taking aim so Mr. Wernick came up with the idea of having two circles that would rest upon each other when hit, causing both circles to “spin” around as they moved across the target area- this became known as Shooting Target Holder #2! Fulton was a small town in the southern part of New York State, located on the north side of the Genesee River. The town was chartered in 1784 and grew rapidly due to its location and resources. By 1800, Fulton had a population of over 1,000 people. In 1825, Fulton became an incorporated village. In 1825, John Fonda founded the village of Fulton on land he had purchased from the Seneca tribe. Fonda hoped that by creating a small community near his farmstead, he would be able to sell goods and services to nearby farmers and traders. The village quickly grew into a thriving port and commercial center for southern New York. Fulton's economy thrived thanks to its natural resources: water power from the river and coal miners who found success extracting coal at nearby mines. In 1907, construction began on what is now known as the John Fonda Bridge which spanned the Genesee River between Fulton and Seneca Village. This bridge helped create new economic opportunities for both villages and continues to play an important role in their relationship today.
Fulton was founded in 1795 by Nicholas-Jacques Fulton and his brother Eli. It became a port on the west side of Manhattan, and soon became a center for industry and commerce. In 1824, the city of New York designated Fulton as its first district. The area around the port grew rapidly, and by 1830, it had become one of the most prosperous cities in New York. However, during the early years of American independence, many disputes between England and America led to violence across the cityscape. This increased tensions led to economic decline for both countries in 1825-1830. In 1834, Nicholas-Jacques Fulton drowned while trying to cross from Staten Island to Brooklyn; this event helped spur development along Old Fulton Street near what is now Yankee Stadium.
