It was called The Brick Store because it had bricks for sale instead of clothing or items needed for farming such as plows or wagons. Aspinwall also operated a gristmill on the creek that supplied power to the sawmill and millinery businesses around town. The first grocery store was opened by James Hogg in 1829. It was called The Grocery Store because groceries were sold there instead of clothing or items needed for farming such as plows or wagons. Hogg also ran a blacksmith shop next door which made tools, forge parts, and other accessories for industry and farms throughout Fulton County! In 1838, William Moulton built his own farmstead near where he later established Moulton & Sons Lumber Company – one of the largest lumber companies in America! His farmstead included two buildings: a barn/shop with four rooms and an oven/fireplace; and a large home with six rooms that served as both his business office (the main building) as well as his residence!

Fulton, New York is a small town located in the Finger Lakes region of central New York. The population was 9,883 at the 2000 census. Fulton was named for James Fulton, an American Revolutionary War general and signer of the Declaration of Independence. The community is also known for its annual Fourth of July fireworks display. Fulton began as a rural farming community on the banks of the Hudson River. A sawmill and gristmill were built in 1807 by Nicholas Biddle and his son Jabez; these mills supplied flour to Albany and other cities in upstate New York. In 1825, John Stephenson purchased land west of Fulton from Nicholas Biddle; he erected a log courthouse and millrace around which a village grew. By 1830, Fulton had become an important transportation hub on the Susquehanna River between Buffalo and Philadelphia. In 1847, Anthony Wayne founded Genesee County; Fulton became part of it. In 1860, Andrew Johnson renamed Genesee County after himself; Fulton remained part of it until 1898 when it was merged into Erie County. During World War II, many industrial enterprises were established in or near Fulton: ammunition plants (Erie Ordnance Works), automotive parts plants ( Chrysler Corporation), shipyards (John Larkin Company) and canneries (Dow Chemical Company). The war led to increased demand for housing in Fulton; development progressed slowly until the late 1950s whenDouglas MacArthur's headquarters moved from downtown Buffalo to nearby Midtown Manhattan while General George Patton's headquarters operated out-of-town near Scranton, Pennsylvania. With continued economic growth during the 1960s through 1990s, much new housing has been built throughout much of downtown Fulton including several high-end shopping districts such as "The Quarter" shopping center off Main Street where Macy's Department Store once stood . Two recent projects have targeted revitalization within close proximity to downtown: First Avenue South along Fifth Street between Elmira Road and Interstate 90 or Second Avenue North just east of I-90 exit 12A which will include two large office buildings with pedestrian walkways connecting them with restaurants and retail space that would be used by local businesses such as liquor stores etc., as well as duplexes/triplexes being developed adjacent to both projects

Fulton was a small town in upstate New York when it became the capital of the United States in 1785. The town was located on the border of present-day Fulton and Canandaigua counties and developed around a ferry terminal. In 1814, during the Mexican War, General Andrew Jackson moved his Headquarters from Jackson's former home in Lee's Ferry to Fulton. In 1825, Fulton became part of Albany County. However, by 1830, Fulton had lost its commercial importance and reverted back to its original name of Canandaigua. In 1835, Alexander Hamilton took over as Mayor of New York City and decided to move the Capital from New York City to Albany because he believed that Albany would be more supportive of Hamilton's policies. This decision led to tension between New Yorkers and Albanyians due to their different perspectives on city government.
Fulton was founded in 1826 by the brothers John and Joseph Fulton. The town was named after Captain James Fulton, who had been instrumental in developing the steamboat industry. The Fultons built a sawmill and distillery in the town, which became a major economic center for the area. In 1831, the Fultons developed an oil refinery and began to export products from Fulton to New York City. The town continued to grow as a commercial center until World War II when it went into decline. Today, Fulton is a small community located within the city of New York.
