Floral Park is a small town in Nassau County, New York, United States. The population was 9,873 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Buffalo–Niagara Falls metropolitan area. The town was founded in 1836 by General Israel Putnam and his wife Catharine de Lesseps from Westchester County, New York. The name comes from a group of large trees near the original town meeting house on Floral Drive. In 1848, Floral Park became part of what was then Niagara Falls Township. In 1954, it joined the newly formed Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake as its second community within that municipality. In 1984, Floral Park became a full municipality with its own government and school district (now City School District). Today, Floral Park features more than forty acres (160 hectares) of open space including two lakes: One is named after George Washington Ellis and the other after Senator James Alesi; there are also several gardens and trails within the village limits as well as an outdoor amphitheater which can accommodate up to thirty people for events such as plays or concerts. This new land would soon become known as Spain after Magellan's success in reaching it during his exploration voyage in 1520-1521. In the 16th century, cannons began being built which used long gun barrels weighing up to two hundred pounds. These cannons could shoot far beyond any bows or arrows that had been used before them! Gun powder became available in this time and began being used in cannons to create greater destructive power than ever before! The Spanish Armada was successfully destroyed by English warships using these newly invented cannon on May 5th 1588 thanks to Governor John Hawkins' victory over Admiral Drake at Hinchinbrooke Bay! By 1775, most people had become familiar with handguns which fired small rounds called balls from pistols instead of projectiles like cannons did earlier! Pistol designs evolved over time as well so that nowadays we have handguns that fire either rounds or pellets! Rifle barrel lengths continued getting longer until they reached around seventy-five inches by the early 19th century however; this trend changed when artillery became available which required even longer barrel lengths for its projectiles!

The design was based on an earlier weapon from France, the fleche de chasse. The main advantage of this type of weapon was its ability to shoot many rounds per minute.
Floral Park is a small but lush community in the Bronx, New York City. It was first settled by Dutch and English immigrants in the 17th century. The area now includes Floral Park, Morningside Heights, and Morrisania. In 1868, John D. Rockefeller donated land for a general store and nursery on his property in Floral Park. By 1888, the population of Floral Park had grown to more than 1,000 people. The community grew rapidly during the late 19th century because of its location near New York's main train station and its access to other industrial areas in the Bronx. A number of shops and restaurants opened up in Floral Park during this time period. One of the most notable businesses to open up in FloralPark was Grosse Pointe Dairy which became one of the largest dairy companies in America at that time. During World War II, Floral Park was heavily bombed by Nazi forces during their assault on New York City. Most of the buildings withinFloral Park were destroyed or damaged as a result of this attack. However, many significant artifacts from this time period still remain today including some pieces from Grosse Pointe Dairy which remain operating today as part of Post-it Foods Incorporated
In 1795, the first settlers in what is now Floral Park arrived and began to build their homes. The area was originally part of Westchester County and was named for John Flora, a British surveyor who had made land grants in the area. In 1814, Flora's grandson, James Flora donated two lots in what is now Floral Park to the town of Westchester. The town consisted of just a few houses at that time. The first post office in Floral Park was established on July 5, 1824. It was located on the east side of President Street between Third and Fourth avenues. In 1840, a school was built on East Euclid Avenue between Third and Fourth Streets. A new church was also built in 1850 on First Avenue between Ninth and Tenth Streets. The Reverend Drury erected this building which served as both a Methodist church and a school until it burned down in 1865. Theodore Roosevelt assigned $6,000 to be used for development withinFloral Park when he became president in 1912-13. This money helped provide essential infrastructure such as water systems and roads for the community including: Lakewood Cemetery (now home to Valhalla), Central Ave., Fifth Ave., 95th St., Prospect Ave., SingingRoomRoad (now Nutley Rd.), Elmhurst Road (now Maple Rd.), Polk Dr., Sunrise Dr., Larchmere Lane (now University Blvd.), Greenleaf Circle (formerly Dutchtown Circle), Crystal Pond Road (now Crescent Hwy.), White Sands Boulevard (later Sunrise Blvd.), Apple Tree Way (later Seventy-fifth St.)and many others streets and avenue names which are still present or known today
