The Endicott Pistol Company was a firearms manufacturer in Endicott, New York. The company was founded by Julius Kapp and Frank J. McNeill in 1892. The company produced handguns and shotguns. In 1916, the Endicott Pistol Company merged with the Successful Arms & Ammunition Company to form the Successful Arms Corporation. The success of the Successful Arms Corporation led to other firearm manufacturers being established within the company including: American Armory, British Firearms, H&R Auto Parts, and Remington Arms. In 1984, the Successful Arms Corporation was acquired by Colt Incorporated.

The Endicott Rifle and Pistol Company was a company that made rifles and pistols in Endicott, New York. The company was founded in 1845 by Charles W. Randall and his brother-in-law, John P. Dickinson. They started making rifles and pistols under the name of "Randall's Rifle & Pistol Manufacturing Company." In 1865, the company changed its name to the "Endicott Rifle and Pistol Company" after it merged with another rifle manufacturer, the "Endicott Armory" (now part of M&P Firearms).
Endicott, New York is a town in Westchester County, New York, United States. The population was 1,811 at the 2010 census. It is the most populous town in Westchester County and the second-most populous town in New York behind Yonkers. Endicott is named after William H. Endicott, an early settler who donated land to the township in 1832. The first recorded mention of Endicott comes from John Winthrop's journal entry for October 3rd 1688: "And the next day I came unto this place called Endicotts (now Exeter), where I found several people living." In 1716 and 1717 Colonel Samuel Tuttle gave tracts of land to some local farmers as part of his Purchase of Crown Lands in Westchester County from George II of Great Britain. This area now includes much of what is today Exeter Township and much of what is now Hudson Valley including Endicott Village which was founded by Rev. Nathaniel Hawthorne on May 10th 1784 as a Congregational church for white settlers who had relocated from upstate New York around that time. Reverend Hawthorne also founded Saybrook Academy which became one of America's leading universities before it closed its doors in 1957. In 1832, William H. EndicOTT donated land to form what would become the township of Exeter; he had arrived in Canada two years earlier with his family and Intentions to start a new life upstate NY among his neighbors he met while working on a farm near Schenectady deeded him 6336 acres (2 square miles). The property included parts of present-day Exeter Township and portions now within Hudson Valley including current-day Yonkers Village and sections east thereof including Amherstburgvillage which were all part of Tompkins County when they were formed into Westchester County on November 3rd 1800 by order of Timothy Pickering as part as a result from cessions by various Dutch settlements westward along Lake Ontario following General War #4(1812). The townships were initially divided into lots basis upon assessor valuation conducted prior to their incorporation into municipalities; however this method proved inadequate so on February 11th 1836 Commissioners voted unanimously to adopt a plan based upon subdividing each lot into 2 or 4 acre squares & providing public education therein until such time as private schools could be erected thereupon or until increased taxes could be levied to finance said improvements; accordingly On March 15th 1836 commissioners did pass an ordinance making it mandatory for every male over 21 years old residing within any township limits whatsoever To attend either Indian School or State Normal School For Colored Youth established under Act Of Congress received December 25th 1830 at Utica By Honorable John Graves Simons Chairman Of Board Of Education For The State Of New York twenty five cents per annum for every intelligent colored person attending school provided he resided therein during four months immediately precedingFebruary 15th 1840 inclusive As A Part Result Of Which Negroes And Mulattoes Who Didn't Attend School Or Get Five Cents Per Annum For Each One They Rented Out Their Property To White Citizens Who Did attended In Full Color Said Negroes And Mulattoes Were Enclosed In Business Men,, Women,, Children,, Grandchildren,, Parents Or Guardians Quoting From Acts Passed At A Meeting Held At Albany On October 12th 1830 By Order OF THE CONGRESSman Under The Authority Said Simon’s Bill Was Due Before January First Next Year To Keep Our Families Alive And Improve Our Condition We Agreed To Take Up Selective Service If Necessary To Serve Our Country But We Have Not Done So Yet... end

It is named for Commodore John A. Endicott, who built and operated an American whaling fleet in the area in 1825-26. The first settler in what would become Endicott was Nicholas de Montfort (1685-1764), who purchased land from the Lenape people near Valley Stream on November 16, 1711. In 1736, Captain John Armstrong erected a sawmill on East Millstream Pond which he called "New Amsterdam". In 1800, Simon Schuyler donated five acres (20 ha) to the Town of EndicOTT for public use as well as land lying east of present day State Route 9 south of Throop Street where another sawmill was erected by Samuel Morse and Alfred Vail. This mill continued to be used until 1827 when it was destroyed by fire
Endicott was a small town in upstate New York, located on the eastern edge of the Mohawk Valley. The first Europeans to arrive in Endicott were Dutch farmers who began farming there in 1664. By 1800, Endicott had a population of about 100 people and was known as an agricultural center. In 1805, a group of Englishmen founded the village of Romney Marsh on the southern border of Endicott. Romney Marsh became one of the most important villages in Upstate New York due to its strategic location and its access to waterways. In 1825, Endicott became part of Albany County and experienced rapid growth due to its importance as an agricultural center and political center. In 1828, EndicOTT became the seat for Albany County after it was separated from Albany County by Act No. 538 (1828). At this time,Endicott had over 200 residents and was considered one of the most prestigious towns in upstate New York. Between 1830- 1840, Endicton saw significant growth due to new construction projects such as a canal system which connected local waterways with Lake Ontario The end result is that during much of its history Endicton has been an agricultural center flanked by two rapidly growing municipalities: one on one side and another just across the river on the other side
