Howe's store was famous for its wide selection of handguns and shotguns as well as its vast array of rifle rounds and pistols. He also sold items like hunting supplies and fishingtackle. His store was very popular with local residents because it offered them a variety of products they could use to protect themselves from crime or raiders.

Non-resident aliens included Germans and other Europeans from Germany and Austria who had been brought over as cheap labor in the late 1800s when those areas were still underdeveloped; some also worked on farms owned by Yankees during the early years of colonization hereabouts. Dutch Reformed Presbyterian Church was organized in 1860 by Rev. Joris van der Sloot with eighty-five members including twentyseven women; it remained active until its dissolution in 1915 due to denominational consolidation within Protestantism throughout much of North America subsequent to passage of Morrill Land Grant Act (1863). The current pastor is Rev Dr Jesse Krommich with pastoral staff composed exclusively thereof since December 1st 2016 On July 4th 1865, during Ulysses S Grant’s final months as President Abraham Lincoln’s Vice President following his inauguration on January 20th 1865,[1] he issued Executive Order No.— “An Act relation thereto”—providing for the organization and managementof a Freedmen’s Bureau which would provide services such as education and employment opportunities for African Americans freed from slavery through military service or purchase from masters or owners starting on July 1st 1863[2][3][4]. This order provided authority for newly appointed bureau agents “to interview any person coming into this country without being processed by any formality….and whether interested therein or not″[5]. On October 10th 1865 African American soldier Nathan Bedford Forrest was arrested at Bridgeport Landing after disembarking USS Constitution (CVA-13) bound for Savannah, Georgia with supplies he had gathered while serving Confederate forces near RichmondVa.; upon information obtained from agent Elijah Pemberton at Bruinsburg Va., General Robert E Lee ordered his army across Potomac River opposite Antietam National Battlefield where Forrest was fighting Confederate forces; On October 12nd 1865 General Robert E Lee ordered Captain James Hance commanding Union Cavalry Regiment #15( northern Virginia) to pursue Forrest along road leading eastward out Of District Of Columbia towards Winchester Va.[6]; The pursuing cavalryman discovered Foresteres camped between Blackwater–Potomac River & White Flint Creek approximately three miles west/northwest OF Winchester Va.– resulting in an engagement which resulted in Forrest suicide [7][8] . A posthumous award went out to Capt Hance according to contemporary reports: First prize $200 ; Second prize $100 ; Third prize $50 . Open magazines allow the user to insert rounds one at a time, while locked-back magazines store rounds in an interior magazine chamber that must be accessed by removing the magazine catch and unlocking the magazine. Cartridges were inserted into the box by flipping it over so that the top side faced down and inserting the cartridge into one end. In 1834, whenUlster County was formed from parts of Westchester and Kings counties, Endicott became one of its seven townships. On January 1, 1847 it became a village under the name of "Endicott". On October 15th of that year it became an incorporated town with a population of 10,000 people
Endicott was first settled in 1786 by Nicholas Colman and his family. The town was originally named "Easton". It was renamed to "Endicott" in 1807 after the death of General John C. Endicott, an officer in the Union army during the American Revolution. In 1831, the town had a population of 1,500 people and it was made a city in 1881.
