In 1955–56 Cahokia Heights annexed parts of Coventry Township including Cohoes Village which gave its name to that portion of cohosian architecture in general as well as certain streets within Coventry Township itself such as Main Street (now called Park Avenue) and Western Avenue (now called Indian Road).
