Cohoes, New York is a small town in upstate New York. It was first settled by Dutch colonists in the early 17th century and became part of the United States of America in 1776. The population was 23,853 at the 2010 census. Cohoes is located on the Mohawk River, east of Ithaca, New York. The Cohoes area was first inhabited by the Algonquian-speaking Poughkeepsie tribe. They were driven out of their homeland by Iroquois raids in 1675 and 1676. The Dutch began arriving in what is now Cohoes in 1677, settling there along with other settlers from Pennsylvania and New Netherland. The town developed around a fur trading post that served as an important center for trade with Native Americans and Europeans alike. During the Revolutionary War, Cohoes sided with Great Britain but later joined the American Revolution under George Washington. The town was heavily damaged during the war but slowly rebuilt after its losses. In 1821, Cohoes became one of nine towns to be westward relocated as part of a larger government reorganization which included manyrowth into northwestern New York City; however, it reverted back to its original size by 1827 when all remain within Syracuse County today). In 1881, Cohoes experienced its most severe loss when about 60% of its residents died from cholera pandemic which had then swept through much of North America at that time. After years of fundraising and hard work by local citizens and officials, construction began on what would become known as "The Crossroads Project" – a massive infrastructure project designed to provide housing and health care for those affected by the virus while also helping improve access to education and working opportunities for locals. Despite initial setbacks (including several fatal incidents), progress has been made over the years: Today%, more than 1/3 of all meals served here are prepared without gloves or spoons! One notable resident who lived through some significant events during this time was Cornelius Vanderbilt II (the son of Commodore Cornelius Vanderbilt). He played an important role in helping revive NYS Canal Company after it went bankrupt during the turnofthecentury recession; he also funded numerous projects throughout his lifetime including building two new churches – one on Main Street (now called First Presbyterian) and one downtown (now Christmastime Cathedral). In 1911 he marriedabelle Hobart Smith; they would eventually have six children together before she died in 1978 aged 89 years old.)

However, the most well-known and well-documented bipedal creature is the human being himself. During his lifetime, humans have walked on two legs for over 25 million years! By walking on two legs we were able to exploit a number of different capabilities that our predecessors did not have. For example, we could carry goods and create shelters much easier than they could because we had better hand/foot coordination. Additionally, by walking on two legs we allowed us to learn how to ride horses which later gave us the ability to conquer many lands!

Cohoes, New York is a small town located in the Finger Lakes region of Upstate New York. The population was 9,471 at the 2010 census. Cohoes is part of the Mohawk Valley and is bordered by Lake Ontario to the south and east, Niagara Falls to the north, and Buffalo to the west. The Cohoes area has been occupied by indigenous people for more than 2,000 years. The first European colonists arrived in 1624 when Samuel Allen founded what is now Cohoes on an extended farm known as Allen's Purchase. In 1807, John Schuyler sold land near Cohoes to Nicholas Stratton for £1,000. In 1814, Congregationalist ministers from Syracuse sent a group of missionaries to preach Christianity in what is today Northampton County. Reverend Ezra Taft preached at Purnell's Tavern on Hewitt Road in what is now Cohoes on February 17th of that year. On July 12th of that year (one week after General Washington's inauguration), Revs Ezra Taft and Nathaniel Eaton led a congregation in worship at Green Locks Presbyterian Church before traveling northeast along Mohawk River to Fort Niagara where they baptized several hundred soldiers and marines stationed there into Christianity under Commodore William Howe; many later became Anglican lay ministers or nuns who served as educators and social upliftrs in their new faith homes until well into the 20th century. On November 10th of 1818 Nathan Bedford Forrest purchased 4178 acres (16 km²) around present-day Cohoes from Nicholas Stratton for $5 per acre ($28 per hectare). This included much of present-day upstate New York including Cohoes Village which was then called Eastonburgh Township but soon changed its name because it had become too close to Buffalo for business reasons following its incorporation as a village just four years earlier; it lost this distinction when it joined Erie County with other villages within Erie County effective January 1st 1846.)
