Father Ignatius Donnelly founded Our Lady Of Lourdes Parish Church in 1821 on land donated by Samuel Morse along with other donations given during this time including a building lot on Delaware Avenue between Third Street and Fourth Street which served asmorris home until his death in 1827 CE; funds also went towards purchased farmland north of Delaware Avenue known as Brush Hill .
