When one thinks of Albany, New York, the first thing that comes to mind is architecture. In both cases, these bridges helped create new transportation routes within New York City and helped to make Albany one of the most important cities in New York State at this point in its history.

During Reconstruction era (1868-1877), Albany became one of the most active cities in creating new businesses and providing employment opportunities for black Americans.[3] It also played a major role in leading to passage of New Deal programs such as Social Security and Wagner Act which helped improve working conditions for workers throughout America during this time period[4].Following World War II, Albany experienced rapid growth due to its status as a center for military technology development and services; however, much economic decline followed after this period characterized by job losses due to automation and other technological changes[5].In recent decades, Albany has become known for its burgeoning nightlife scene; however, gentrification has recently begun to reverse some aspects of these trends[6], including increased crime rates which have led to concern among some about how these changes will impact poverty or social inequality within its boundaries
