Today Clark County is home to some 2 million people including more than 3,000 soldiers stationed at Luke Air Force Base adjacent to town limits; over 4500 workers at area industrial plants such as Caterpillar and Boeing; 400 students from nearby Mesa Community College; 300 farmers involved with cattle drives undertaken each month across much of Arizona); retirees from Phoenix’s Old Town district as well as a scattering of hipsters/yuppies/affluent newcomers drawn by prices slashed half since 2007 when median household income peaked just above $100K but Social Security Disability rates went up again last year to make it harder for low-income families to stay afloat even if earning wages only just Keeping within reach for many long past decade now seems increasingly improbable Just under 2%of all jobs nationally pay less than $15/hour outside service industry while almost 60% pay less than $10/hour

The influx of tourists helped spur economic growth during this time; by 1960 Las Vegasto had more than 12 thousand residents and was responsible for 50 percent of all visitors to McCarran International Airport. Strip hotels such asCaesars Palaceand Stardust became world-renowned tourist destinations during this time; MGM Grandopened its doors on May 15thof that year becomingthe first hotel onthe Stripto open at night!
