The only store in town is J & H’s Feed & Grain, which has been open since 1924. The original building now stands vacant and is used as a storage lot for nearby crops and livestock. As of the census of 2000, there were 847 people, 291 households, and 214 families residing in the town. The population density was 507 people per square mile (215/km²).
