As one of few towns in New Mexico without its own police department, many emergencies will be handled by nearby Farmington Hills Police Department or Alamogordo Police Department agencies; however if you need assistance outside the normal police services available to residents in your community please call 9-1-1 for help from any law enforcement agency serving your area at that time!

New Mexico was admitted to the United States on November 16, 1912. It became a state on January 6, 1912. The land that is now New Mexico was purchased from the Mexican government in 1848 as part of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo.
