Support ranged from 53 percent among Republicans who oppose higher education to 78 percent among Democrats who support it (+14 percentage points). - When asked if they would rather see more government spending on infrastructure or less government spending, 59% of Americans say more government spending should be done while only 31% say less government spending should be done; these numbers have changed little since 2010 when 57% said more government spending should be done and 32% said less government spending should be done (see table 2 below).

Gallup is a town in San Miguel County, New Mexico, United States. The population was 953 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Albuquerque–Las Cruces, NM Metropolitan Statistical Area. The Gallup Mission was founded on November 16, 1847 by Father José de Jesús Arroyo and Brothers Francisco and Andrés de la Cueva. They were driven out of the area by Apache raiders in 1848 but returned to found an additional mission near present-day Gallup on December 2, 1849. In 1861, Colonel James Bowie proclaimed that all men over 21 years of age must reside in towns or villages within one mile (1 km) of military posts or stations. The Mexican War ended with the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo which placed New Mexico under U.S. jurisdiction as part of the Compromise of 1850. In 1862, General Antonio López Maxwell moved his army from Santa Fe to Roswell after capturing Chihuahua City from Mexican forces under Santa Ana García y O’Rourke and declared war against Mexico again with American assistance.
