On March 14th 2017 President Donald Trump announced his candidacy for president promising change with regards specifically to gun control legislation; this has caused renewed interest within Congress in revisitinggun safety measures following mass shootings across America over the past several years (euphemistically referred collectively as “mass shootings”).
