Woodland Park is a town in Morris County, New Jersey, United States. The population was 15,848 at the 2010 census. Woodland Park is located on the northwestern edge of Morris County and is part of the Philadelphia metropolitan area. The name " woodlawn" first appeared in 1792 when Nicholas Putnam purchased land near present-day Woodland Park from Simon Teague for $5 per acre (1/4 acre = $ 100). The first occupants of what is now Woodland Park were Revolutionary War veterans who settled there in 1795. They named their community after the wooded areas to the south where they had served as soldiers. When federal lands were set aside for postal service in 1827, much of what would become Woodland Park was included within Postal District #2 (now part of Philadelphia). In 1839, Postmaster General John Stevens recommended that all post offices be consolidated into one location – this recommendation was accepted by Congress and Post Office Department officials established District 2 consisting mainly of western Morris County and some parts of northeastern Camden County. The new district offered better transportation connections than did any previous postal district and its boundaries were based on racial distinctions rather than geographic ones. As a result, many black residents living in southeastern Camden County moved to newly created districts in southwestern Morris County during this period because they could not easily access mail service from their homes within District 2 or from nearby Reading Borough which also lay within District 2 but received its own mail service. District 2 eventually disbanded due to increased competition from other postal districts; however, some remnants remain today including ZIP Code 20910 which covers most of eastern Bloomingdale Township and much of southeastern Parsippany Township as well as portions of Livingston Parish east of Interstate 95. In 1868, Morristown Township formed from parts of Rural Union School District No. 9 with 1 mile squareicity mandate; however, no village status was conferred upon it until 1916 when it became known as Maplewood Village after Maplewood Place adjacent to the township limits whereupon Maplewood Manor began developing adjacent to those limits along with several other small villages throughoutMorristown Township over time becoming an official municipality through incorporation ordinance passed by voters at a special election held on November 8th 1916 despite objections by some members thereof who felt that incorporation would only benefit wealthy resident while sacrificing public services such as schools and library aid hitherto given without taxation to these same residents via property tax revenues thus defeating any real sense or purpose behind municipal formation having been historically motivated more by self-promotion than anything else apart from generating revenue for municipalities pursuant to state mandates then actually serving public purposes.

Woodland Park is a borough in New Jersey, United States. The population was 5,956 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Camden County metropolitan area. Woodland Park was incorporated as a borough on November 3, 1903, from portions of Camden and Gloucester counties. The name Woodland Park comes from the forested hills that form its core. The first settlers in what is now Woodland Park were farmers who arrived around 1820. By 1870 the community had grown to include over 100 homes and ten businesses including one grocery store, two blacksmiths, an undertaker, and a saddlery shop. In 1907 Borough President Haddon Smith signed a petition for incorporation into a borough which was approved by the Board of Chosen Freeholders on December 10th of that year. In 1933, when Newark became an independent city, much of what is now Woodland Park was taken over by Newark Airport as it grew rapidly along with the city’s economy. However since then many residents have moved back into their homes in the town center or continue to live there today as families with children attend local schools or work nearby in various industries like manufacturing or service jobs in addition to their own residences. One such industry that has thrived in recent years is woodworking; with several woodworking stores and workshops located within walking distance of each other as well as plenty of classes available both online and face-to-face throughout the year for those curious about this eclectic tradecraft The borough has also seen some growth recently in terms of wine production; with several wineries operating within easy driving distance including Cellar Door Wines (formerly known as Pippen Ridge Winery), Bodega wines (formerly Mirador Vineyards),and Four Lakes winery all making use of site located just outside town limits near Interstate 95 or even closer to Route 22nd Street exit).
