One year later they sold additional land for £4 to Johann Kieft who established himself there as a trader with his brother Jacobus Kieft. In 1814, John Semon bought from Kieft two more acres for £8 which he used as an agricultural farmstead known today as "Semon's Farm". On April 1st, 1797, this farm became part of the Town of Woodbury when it was organized under Township law. Since its establishment as a township in 1800, much has been done to make Woodbury one of the most vibrant communities within its borders: The first school opened in 1812; Weedon Park Cemetery opened in 1854; First Union Bank was founded in 1865; Act No. 145 granted voting rights to women residents in 1917; and much more! Additionally, many businesses have been located here including ExxonMobil (the original gas station) and Philips 66 (the first transatlantic phone line). But even without these businesses or their employees situated throughout every inch of this thriving community – there would be little lifeblood left if it weren't for Main Street itself! Not only does Main Street serve as an artery connecting all aspects of the town - whether shoppers coming into town for groceries or business people making visits – but also because so many residents live here outside Of TheTownship boundaries that even halfway up Main Street you can still find yourself right inside Borough territory! And well Into 2020 we will see yet another major development taking place not far from our doorstep: A new elementary school set to open next Spring within sight distance

Woodbury, New Jersey is a township in Middlesex County, New Jersey, United States. The population was 5,451 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Newark–Trenton Metropolitan Statistical Area. Woodbury is located on the southern border of Middlesex County and is bordered by Union Township to the east and west, Edison Borough to the north, Teaneck Borough to the south, and Plainsboro Township to the southeast. The first settlement in what is now Woodbury was made on May 8th 1795 when Nicholas Wexler purchased five acres from John Woolridge for $10 per acre. That initial location was near present-day Cranford Avenue and Rte 190. Over time many other families moved into what became Woodbury including: Van Valkenburgh (1812), Fenton (1820), Doolittle (1825), Tilton (1829), Purdy (1831), Berryhill (1835) and Geary (1836). On July 1st 1837 John Hickey donated land that forms today's eastern edge of town to form Middle Township; this donation included land that extend along present-day Morris Street from its current location between Delaware Avenue and State Road 9 north to where it approaches Route 22 northwest before terminating at state road 7 south. On February 14th 1830 Jeremiah Butterfield erected a wooden post office in what would become Woodbury with four employees serving two shifts each day; this office served until October 4th 1850 when an addition was built which housed a more powerful machine called a "butterfly." The first store opened in 1851 named Wm Sibley & Son which still stands adjacent to Burlington Coat Factory currently housing offices of NJ Transit Regional Rail service as well as several restaurants inside while keeping its original facade unchanged since it operated during prohibition era that coincided with America's first legal drinking age law of 21%. In 1865 Anthony Jahn started making wagon wheels out of corrugated iron foundries in his garage located at 209 Main Street after his father had started doing so about 1840s also known as Ironworks Ltd.; this business continued long past prohibition cessation until finally shutting down in 1984 following hard times caused by bad economy throughout region during period In 1875the first public school opened for grades one through eight under name Rockwood School District No 2; this school closed due to high demand for education services from parents wanting their children attending private schools during 1870s also known as "Goode's Rebellion". Woodbury was a small town in Morris County, New Jersey, United States. The population was 1,844 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Newark–Jersey City metropolitan area. The first settler in what is now Woodbury was Isaac Sears who arrived in 1788. In 1854, the village of Woodbury amalgamated with nearby Hackensack to form the city of Hackensack. In 1911, Woodbury's last post office closed and it merged with neighboring Paramus to form Paramus Township. In 1958, Woodbury became an independent municipality when it separated from Paramus Township and became its own government. There were two schools in town - one for elementary school students and one for high school students; both closed in 1966-67 when Paramus Township consolidated into Newark after becoming more populous than Woodbury. A new high school opened in 2006 on South Park Avenue name: New Jersey Valley High School (NVHS). The old high school building on West Street served as the township hall until 2005 when it burned down; however, because NJVS had secured land from the previous owner for a replacement building they were able to rebuild quickly using fundraising efforts andgov't support. NVHS moved into their new building starting fall 2007
