Most holsters were developed during World War I when handguns became more popular as rifle weapons. At that time, pistols were not allowed on military ships due to their small size and portability. Holster manufacturers had to find a way to make these pistols available on warships without having them confiscated by officers. The first holsters were designed specifically for rifles and were called “rifle belts” because they would protect the gun from being seized if it was carried on a shipboard officer’s person. During World War II, holster manufacturers started making holsters specifically for pistols instead of rifles. This change was spurred by the fact that pistols were now becoming more popular as handgun weapons rather than rifle weapons. Many people believed that pistol holsters would become even more popular after World War II ended because so many new handguns had been invented since then! In fact, holster companies continued makingholster designs until about 1978 when all pistol-specific designs ceased production altogether! Today, there is much interest in handgun safety because so many people carry firearms outside of homes or businesses every day! In 1829, Holster & Smith was founded in Woodbury, New Jersey by John Holzer and Samuel H. Smith. In 1881, the company relocated to Camden, NJ. In 1911, the company merged with Browning & Co., a firearms manufacturer that at the time was second largest in America. The merger created a new company named Browning-Holster Corporation which continued production of firearms until it ceased operations in 1973.

This led to the development of various types of holsters- shoulder holsters, full-auto holsters, belt Holster systems, and even retention devices such as triggers or cams (which allow guns to be drawn without having them fired). One major influence on modern handgun design came from shotgun designers who wanted pistols able to fire multiple rounds at once. They realized that shotguns could be used effectively as longguns by mounting two barrels onto one stock and adding a magazine capacity. They also realized that shotguns could be used as handguns by converting them into centerfire weapons with additional magazines capable of firing multiple rounds per shot. This gave rise to the shotgun pistol which became one of the most popular handgun designs in history. The early Shotgun Pistol was a simple affair with only four features: a hammerlock grip safety system (to prevent accidental discharge), an open frame construction for easy carrying/storage,M1913 trigger pull typical of all early arms revolvers except Colt’s Single Action Army (SA) revolvers, and 12 round magazine capacity using either five cartridges per side (or three rounds each side in some models)of the weapon

In 1865, Colt began producing revolvers in three calibers: .45 ACP, .38 Special, and .357 Magnum. Woodbury is a borough in Morris County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2010 Census, Woodbury had a population of 18,898. The borough was founded on November 6, 1868, by Methodists who came from Northampton Township in Middlesex County. The first settler to arrive in what is now Woodbury was Elijah Webb. He and his family arrived on the Mayflower in 1620 and may have been among the original 8 settlers who landed at Plymouth Rock on October 7th that year. The Webers were among the earliest white residents of Morris County and some sources say they are buried at Mount Moriah Cemetery in Woodbury. Sir William Johnson (1744-1827), an English gentleman who became one of the first landowners in Morris County after coming overland from Philadelphia with his family in 1765, also resided here for a time before moving to Bethlehem Township. Some believe he purchased land here from Nicholas Easton which would make him one of the largest landowners in town history; however this has not been proven definitively. Baptist pastor John White settled near present day Middle Brook Road and State Road 21st Avenue along with many other early settlers including Isaac Bryant (1692-1764), George Chapman (1724-1800), James Caldwell (1747-1825) and Ebenezer Goode (baptized December 25th, 1753). They built their homes around deep wells which still exist today as part of downtown Woodbury’s core commercial district known as “The Well District” or simply “The Park” area today approximately bounded by State Road 21st Avenue to the south, Middlebrook Road to the west, First Street eastward towards Princeton University campus across First Street from where it becomes Second Street northbound before terminating at Third Street which forms its eastern border with parking lots located on both sides of Third Street between State Road 21st Avenue and Delaware Ave., home plate number #2 belonging to Goode being located just east of Third Street corner lot line when originally entered into map data prepared forragon developers by Rutgers University Archives staff members circa 1915…It should be noted that although there were several churches established within what is now Woodbury Borough limits during its early years – most notably Baptist services being conducted outdoors until about 1800 - growth within what is now our community occurred primarily throughresidential development which continued uninterrupted until well into recent times thanks largely to two groups namely: The Webers followed by later generations OF JONESSTOWNERS WHO FOUND THEIR HOME HERE IN THE1920S AND 1930S
Woodbury was founded in 1777 by Captain George Washington and his forces during the American Revolution. The town was named for Colonel William Woodbury, a militia officer who had commanded a detachment that participated in the Battle of Princeton on January 3, 1777. The town grew rapidly and by 1815 it had a population of 1,500 residents. In 1828, Woodbury became one of six towns in Morris County to be incorporated as a borough. The borough was dissolved in 1881 and its land merged into neighboring Township of Union.
