Westfield, New Jersey is a town in Middlesex County, New Jersey, United States. The population was 26,052 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Newark–Jersey City Metropolitan Statistical Area. Westfield has been inhabited by Native Americans for over a thousand years and first organized as a village in 1797. In 1839, it became an incorporated town. On July 1, 1870, Westfield became the second town in New Jersey to be annexed by Newark after its merger with that city. Westfield is located on the east bank of the Delaware River across from Newark Castle and just south of Belvidere Township. According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of , all land. As of the census[10] of 2000,[11] there were 25,859 people living in 3 villages: Belle Vernon (including parts of Newtonia), Easton Township and Westfield Village The population density was 2,752 people per square mile (1,010/km²). There were 4lderly residents age 65 or older (3% versus 6% nationally) who made up 11% of the population; all other ages were between 15 and 64 (%) There were 10 housing units at an average density of 1,046 per square mile (395/km²). The Germans even built several large-scale models called “Wunderwaffen” ( Wondersweapons), which featured significant improvements over earlier designs including gunners who could fire multiple shots per minute using different types of ammo stored in pouches on the waistband of their uniforms. Japanese forces were also able to utilize large amount of artillery and mortar fire through air launched grenades and small arms fire utilizing traditional methods such as straw huts filled with sandbags or empty beer cans filled with implements such as bamboo skewers or fishing poles soaked in water then set alight, resulting in extensive damage against enemy positions and infrastructure throughout much of East Asia

Westfield, New Jersey is a small town in Westchester County, New York, United States. It was incorporated as a village on November 15, 1824. The population of the town was 5,362 at the 2010 census. The first settlement in what is now Westfield was made by Loyalists who fled British rule during the American Revolution. They built aLog Cabin Farm on Canandaigua Ridge in 1777 and named it "Westfield." The first post office opened in 1809 and was called "Canandaigua". In 1825 the village name was changed to "Westfield", with the addition of the word "ny" because it lay to the east of Niagara Falls. The first store on Main Street opened in 1830 and became known as The Overlook Store. In 1865, WF&O Railway began operations through Westfield from Yonkers to White Plains; this led to increased shopping opportunities for residents and businesses. On July 1, 1868, Westfield became part of Rochester Township due to changes in township boundaries following a Boundary Adjustment Commission decision which followed the Civil War. In 1897–98 an electric light plant operated by Edison Brothers Lighting Company was built at what is now Main and Canandaigua Streets (just south of where I-787 converges with I-465). That same year saw also construction of what is now Rte 133; this served as an access road from Canandaigua Ridge into town until 1955 when it became part of US 1A/1A North leading out of town into upstate New York On October 16, 1951 President Harry S Truman announced plans for development along Interstate 287 that would include large areas around Westfield including much of central Hudson County including Valhalla and Poughkeepsie; those plans were not realized until later that decade when Interstate 287 freeway construction began cutting off most or all access to rural areas within miles of downtown Manhattan In 1990s several small businesses closed due to competition from larger stores such as Walmart or Target
Westfield was founded by George Westfield in 1795. The town became a borough in 1847. It was the site of two wars and the disaster of the Great Newark Flood of 1938. In 1959, it became a city.
