Totowa is a small town in Middlesex County, New Jersey. The population was 2,811 at the 2010 census. Totowa's history dates back to 1795 when it was part of Monmouth Township and was known as "Totoc". In 1814, the township was divided into two parts and Totowa became part of the new community of North Brunswick. In 1871, Totowa annexed the adjacent village of Woodbridge. The first settler in Totowa was Isaac Haskins who arrived in 1795. He built a cabin on what is now Main Street and named his property "Totoc". In 1800, Haskins married Susannah White and they started a family. By 1814, the township had been divided into two parts with Totowas becoming part of North Brunswick and Woodbridge joining soon afterwards. The first school in Totowa opened in October 1814 which taught students from kindergarten through eighth grade. In 1870, Totowa annexed the adjacent village of Woodbridge which had been founded by John Groomsworth in 1825 as a port for goods imported by sea from Europe. The town's name originated from its location on a small creek called Totten Creek that flowed through its boundaries. By 1870, there were over 100 residents living within its limits including 34 taverns/beer joints, 11 stores/grains & groceries stores, 10 churches/theological seminaries and 6 schools including one for girls which opened in 1865). During World War II (1941-1945), Totowa played an important role as an airfield providing support to Allied forces during the Atlantic War against Nazi Germany; it also acted as Headquarters for Monmouth County during this time period until 1945 when it became headquarters for New Jersey Command under United States Forces Europe (USFE). Postwar growth occurred with construction of roads and factories followed by suburban development beginning around 1960 which continues to this day with over 1 million residents residing within its borders making it one of Europes most populous towns outside London or Paris

It wasn’t until 1876 when Christiaan Huygens succeeded in demonstrating that he could use his naked eyesight (his eyes were covered with contact lenses) to watch objects located far away using just his personal pairs of binoculars – this was an important achievement as it showed that humans could actually use technology in order to improve their understanding of nature. In 1907 Jules Verne sent his book “Journey Around The World In Eighty Days” through mail while wearing just his regular pair of spectacles which he described as being like “a pair Of Russian high-quality boxing gloves”; this showed that even though binoculars had been around for centuries they still had a lot more potential than we ever thought!
