The company produced over 1 million rounds of varying calibers throughout the war. During World War II, Brownells Armoury manufactured rounds for both the United States Navy and United States Army air forces. Totowa Township borders Camden Township to the north; Fair Lawn Township to the east; Sussex Borough to the south; Bridgeport Township to the west. As of the 2000 United States Census there were 1,912 people in Totowa township—1% more than its population as of 2000 but 4% less than its population as of 2008. Of all households in Totowa township 66% were family households, 25% were non-families, and 13% were gay or lesbian couples. There are no schools within Totowa Township - all students attend public school systems outside of Paramus NJ: Paramus Hills Regional High School District #2 (west), Edison Municipal High School District #4 (south), South Hackensack Unified School District #5 (north) and Morris Plains Public Schools District #6A (east). As reported by The Record newspaper on October 8th 2009 with data taken from school district websites provided by parents/guardianship officials during September 2009- August 2010 - only 5 out of 20 school districts in this state provide information about their student enrollment levels for fall/winter 2009-2010 turning in applications for open enrollment requested between September 2nd 2008 through Monday night before Christmas - that number dropped to 3 outof 20 districts reporting not having any openings left for Fall 09-10 according to emails I sent home with application forms received back on October 9th 2009
