Tinton Falls is a borough in Middlesex County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2010 Census, the borough had a population of 34,898. Tinton Falls was established on May 10, 1814 by order of President James K. Polk as part of the Western Reserve district. The name was derived from John Tinton's purchase of 640 acres (2 km²) in what is now Tinton Falls Township from Jonas Starkweather in 1815. The first settler to arrive in what is now Tinton Falls Township was Solomon Northrup who leased land from Nicholas Van Dyke in 1795 and built a cabin there. In 1800, Edward Coles arrived and began mining silver around what is now West Side Road and Main Street in what is now East Side Road and South Side Avenue. On March 8, 1823, George Washington Van Buskirk donated land for an Agricultural School at what is today Old Bridge Avenue and State Highway 9 near present-day Middletonville which became known as Ewing Academy; this school served grades 1-12 until it closed its doors on July 1, 1923 due to financial difficulties caused by World War I. In 1898 or 1899 Isaac Denton moved his family to Tinton Falls when he took over the carriage business run by his father Benjamin Denton Sr.. There is no one answer to the question of how firearms were invented. However, there are some key events in the history ofguns that could help to explain how they got their current form and function. One key event in firearm history is the development of swivels. Swivels were first patented by Nicholas-Jacques Conte on December 15, 1795. At the time, however, it was not clear why these devices were necessary for gun use. Conte's patent described a new way to rotate an armament so that it could be aimed in any direction without having to turn specifically towards a target. The first guns using swivels also had other unusual features. They featured two pivoting arms that allowed them to pivot around an axis perpendicular to the weapon's bore (the "vertical" arm). This feature made it possible for shotguns and artillery pieces to be directed at targets above or below the soldier wielding them. Additionally, because these weapons could now be fired from multiple directions simultaneously, they became essential tools for cavalry and siege warfare. As technology advanced, more people began realizing just how important swivels were for firearms use. By 1859, when John Brown & Company created their new .45 caliber revolver,[1]swivels had become standard equipment on all handguns and rifles alike. The popularity of this type of firearm led eventuallyto its widespread adoption across humanity as a whole – including in modern armies today!

Tinton Falls is a borough in the town of Tinton Falls, New Jersey, United States. The population was 1,704 at the 2000 census. Tinton Falls has three schools: Easton Elementary School, South Mountain Intermediate School and West Center High School. The first settlers in what is now Tinton Falls were Dutch colonists who arrived in 1664. They named their settlement after the falls of Niagara on the Ontario River. In 1714, British forces burned down the village for refusing to give up its independence from Great Britain. In 1824, whenifer William Hagan died without heirs, his estate was divided among his tenants-in-chief according to their holdings in land within boundaries that had been set out by then Governor James Ketchum as part of a final sale of all Indian lands acquired during the American Revolution and subsequent period of Native American occupancy in this area. These boundary lines remain unchanged to this day and are known as Hagan's Line or "The original boundaries." On November 14, 1830 – two years after Independence Day – an election was held to determine whether or not Tinton Falls would become a borough. Voters chose to join with neighboring Glassboro Township as a Borough on December 2nd 1830 by a vote of 7-0%. The new borough contained 1,633 residents and remained so until 1940 when it merged with Harrison Township due to population growth rates across both municipalities combined (Newark became full city status in 1967). Growth rates continued over time however so on May 15th 1960 Borough Council voted 3-2to add Northumberland Avenue which ran through Tinton Falls bypassing Glassboro Township making it one municipality again along with Harrison township form what is now called “South Mountain Borough” . At this time also decision was made not to annex any other municipalities forming today’s township including Glassboro which still retains some control over zoning & planning thru its elected officials but provides no services nor funding thru taxation
Tinton Falls, New Jersey was originally settled by the Lenape Indians in 1683. Tinton Falls was originally called Wappingers Falls and later renamed after General John Sullivan who fought in the American Revolution. The settlement grew rapidly during the Revolutionary War and soon became a center of trade with the British Isles. In 1814, Tinton Falls became part of the United States and it has been continuously inhabited since then. The community is now a small town located in Morris County, New Jersey.
