In addition, John Dolan built one of America’s first commercial breweries at Tinton Falls before moving it to Utica, New York after prohibition made brewing illegal across most American states in 1919. In later years Dolan sold his brewery assets to Two Brothers Brewing Company before dying at age 80 years old in 2003; his son Joey co-founded two additional breweries – Capital Brewerywerks & Pizza Place (later known as Peddlehook) and NorthJersey Brewing Company – within Tinton Falls village limits today).
