Fenton's goal was to create a prestigious shopping destination for rifle enthusiasts located adjacent to his hunting estates outside Philadelphia. Initially, Fenton stocked only rifle ammunition but he soon realized that this would be too limiting for many users. He developed a program called "Gun Club" which offered various levels of membership with different benefits depending on how often you attended shooting events at his properties. This program allowed him to expand his inventory quickly and increase profits while also providing social opportunities for his customers

Tenafly is a town in Hudson County, New Jersey, United States. The population was 8,859 at the 2010 census. Tenafly is one of the most ethnically diverse communities in New Jersey and has seen a large influx of immigrants over the years. The town was founded in 1847 by Dutch settlers as a small farming community known as "Hudson's Land". It became an incorporated municipality on January 1, 1923. Tenafly is located on the eastern edge of Hudson County and straddles the border of Bergen Township to the south and Passaic Township to the north. The name "Tenafly" comes from two words: "tean" meaning 'a meadow' and "fliway" meaning 'road'. When traders arrived in what is now Tenafly from Holland in 1847 they called this area Teaneck because there were no trees hereabouts. The first settler was Nicholas Vanderhoff who arrived around 1800 from Holland with his family. He built a cabin on what is now Main Street near where he waterlogged his land for potatoes. In 1848 another pioneer, Godfrey Smith, also landed at Reed's Landing on Staten Island after being lost at sea while searching forstakes near Atlantic City with his family and servants. By 1850 there were sixteen families living here including twelveDutch farmers; seven Germans; three Irishmen; one Swede (Frits) ; one Norwegian (Erik); five French Canadians; four British subjects- three seamen (John Browning, George Stephenson) There was no post office back then so mail came by wagon or horseback which took about two days to get toquerken or even further inland because it was all covered with snow during wintertime! This made life very difficult for people trying to do business with others back then as there wasn't much communication possible other than word of mouth which could take weeks or even months to come back! In 1854 John Hirsch sold 500 acres (2 km²) adjacent to present day Park Avenue near what are now School House Road/Route 9 for $1 per acre due to lack of any other potential buyers out there! This set off a frenzy among settlers as everyone wanted in on this great opportunity as it meant increased farmland access and less competition from others looking for land closer to NYC! By 1865 when Census reports were compiled it showed that there were 474 residents within ten miles (16 km) of Tenafly proper while just fifty-six people lived more than fifteen miles (24 km) away! These numbers continue growing until 1880 when only ninety-eight people resided within twenty miles (32 km) of town limits! By 1920 Tenafly had population totals reaching 753 citizens while just thirty-five people lived more than thirty miles away!!! These trends continued into the 1930s until 1950 when only ninety-seven residents remained within ten miles (!), forty-nine residents resided more than fifteen miles (!), twenty-three residents resided more than thirty miles (!), and sixresidentedmorethanthirtymiles (>!). As mentioned earlier throughout these decades township boundaries continually moved eastward making it difficult for businesses close their doors completely!!
