Gun lights have a long and varied history in South Plainfield, NJ. They began as simple lighted indicators on horseback to help farmers guide their herds during the day. As time passed, these devices became more sophisticated and were used for target shooting,hunting, and other purposes. Today, gun lights are still used extensively by shooters in South Plainfield and throughout New Jersey. The first gunsights were designed specifically for use with firearms. These early sights consisted of a crosshairs that could be lined up with the projectile you were trying to shoot at. The crosshairs would then glow green when the firearm was “chambered” for rounds, and red when it was not. This system allowed shooters to hit their targets without having to worry about focus or line of sight. As technology improved, so too did gunlights. In 1892, an American inventor named George Stephenson invented a device called a “military rifle” which featured an illuminated stock and barrelmounted gunlight/sight combination called the Sightronographe (or Sight-in-the-Rifle). This weapon was able to range far beyond traditional muzzleloading rifles by allowing its user to see through the sights even while they were moving! This configuration made it possible for soldiers on battlefields around the world to fire accurately at targets way out past their normal ranges! In 1907, another inventor named Arthur Raymond developed what is now known as the Raymarine GunLight (RRG). This product featured an all-metal body that shielded users from weathering and proved effective against Confederate sniper fire! It also served as one of the first military pistols ever built! By 1912, both these weapons had become standard issue on many combat units across America! Throughout these years, gunlights continued to evolve into evermore advanced designs. Some of these innovations included: TheRaymarine GunLight II (RCG2), which featured a fiber optic display; ThePistolero GunLight (PLG), which utilized xenon bulbs instead of red or green LEDs; TheMilford Light BridgeGunLight (MLBGL), which incorporated multiple LED emitters onto one unit; and TheNewJerseyGunLite(NJGL), which was designed specifically for hunting applications! All of these products remain popular today thanks to their ingenious design and easy installation!

South Plainfield is a town in Middlesex County, New Jersey, United States. The population was 10,898 at the 2010 census. The name "South Plainfield" is derived from the Palatinate region of Germany and was first used as an English spelling of "Pleinfeld". The earliest known European settlers in South Plainfield were German Protestants who arrived in 1724. They built a small village on what is now the south side of Main Street near where it joins Route 1A. From this village, they developed a large farm that stretched from North Brunswick to Sussex County. In 1816, they merged with nearby Philadelphia to form the new township of Princeton. However, despite its name change and increased population growth over time, South Plainfield never achieved any great prominence as a commercial or political center due to its relatively remote location and lack of infrastructure for such an large town. This changed starting in the 1920s when South Plainfield became home to two major US military installations: Fort Monmouth (now part of Camden) and Fort Mercer (now part of Elizabethtown). These installations led to an increase in economic development within South Plainfield and made it one of the most important towns in southeastern New Jersey. Additionally, during World War II several key businesses located within South Plainfield - including Ford Motor Company's Newark plant - produced munitions for the war effort. As a result, South PlainFIELD has long been associated with manufacturing and business opportunities rather than politics or government services

South Plainfield is a borough in Sussex County, New Jersey, United States. The population was 5,812 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Newark–Trenton, New Jersey Metropolitan Statistical Area. South Plainfield was founded in 1788 as West Indian Island Settlement and became a township in 1814. It was incorporated as a borough on April 14, 1908. The name comes from the Battle of Bunker Hill which took place near where the borough boundaries were drawn. The first settler in what would become South Plainfield was Nicholas Saint-Pierre who arrived on May 10, 1788 and set up shop on land that now includes most of the borough. He and his family were followed by John White who landed on December 12th of that year and built his house just north of present day Broadway Street. The area now known as South Plainfield was then called West Indian Island Settlement with its own town hall being erected soon after by St-Pierre and White1 While this initial village did not experience much growth it did serve as an important staging ground for operations during America's Revolutionary War because it bordered both British troops stationed in Canada (northwest corner) and British forces stationed at Patriots' Fort (southwest corner). In 1793, following King George III's proclamation ordering all men to bear arms for the defense of America against France2 everyone within two miles of any fort or post should do so3 whites living east of Ridge Road4 Creek Road5 faced particular restrictions since they were not taxed6 while those living west of Ridge Road7 enjoyed some degree of privilege due to their location near Princeton University8 however these disparities gradually began to change over time with increased taxes levied upon eastern residents9 until finally all residents were taxed equally in 182710 thus creating what we know today as “the Borough” or “South Plainfield Township”11 originally inhabited primarily by English Protestants10 although there are scattered Jewish families12 also resident within this largely white community early on there seems to have been little attempt made to engage local African Americans13 although occasional African American servants/workers may have been hired14 various ethnic groups had intermarried into each other prior to becoming truly integrated into larger society15 nevertheless despite some limited integration there seem to be few if any lingering hostilities16 though certain areas still maintain certain traditional cultural practices17 such as religious services being held outdoors18 alsoNotable figures associated with South Plainfield include: Samuel Morse Sr., inventor Americas first railroad signal box; Drusilla Mason Morrissey President & CEO NJ Transit
South Plainfield was erected in 1774 and was one of the earliest towns in New Jersey. The original settlers were Dutch, but the town was later settled by English colonists. South Plainfield became a Township in 1854 and a Borough in 1934.
