Somerville is a town in Middlesex County, New Jersey, United States. The population was 24,718 at the 2010 census. The name "Somerville" first appeared on maps in 1781. It was named for Samuel Somerville, an Englishman who settled there in 1776. The original grant to the town was from Nicholas Myrick and others of Middlesex County on November 3, 1781. On July 16, 2009, it was announced that Somerville would bejoining Camden as its next borough after Camden's annexation by New York City. This change occurred because Camden has been without its own borough since 2001 when Ridgewood Borough joined Jersey City/Teaneck Borough and Haledon Borough left Bergen County to join Newark Liberty University. This was possible due to the design of some early firearms which allowed for discharge from any position, not just from prone or standing positions. The first known use of gun slings occurred during the Mongol invasions in 1227 when Genghis Khan's forces invaded China. The Chinese had no way to defend themselves against these large armies and so they surrendered without battle. At this time, there were no bows or arrows available to protect them from being shot by their enemies while they were surrendering, so many Chinese died as result. This gave rise to the thought that if someone could shoot an enemy with a sling he/she could easily kill them. This idea was put into practice shortly thereafter when Mongols began invading Russia in 853 AD. Russian defenders were unable to fight back against these hordes because they lacked any form of artillery or other weapons strong enough to take on Mongols at close range. So instead, Russians surrendered by engaging in hand-to-hand combat with their opponents until they finally ran out of ammunition or died from lack thereof. This led directly to the development of modern Warfare where firearms became more important than human strength in order to achieve victory over one's opponents

Somerville is a small town located in Union County, New Jersey. The population was 10,752 at the 2010 census. Somerville is situated between Hackensack and Bound Brook and is bordered by the towns of Northvale and East Brunswick to the north, Mahwah to the east, Asbury Park to the south, and East Rutherford to the west. The town has a rich history that dates back to its incorporation as a township on July 1, 1824. At that time, it consisted of only two streets: Main Street and School Road. In 1827, one of Somerville's first residents was William Halsey who founded what would become First Presbyterian Church in Somerville. In 1865, James Fenton purchased land in Somerville from Nicholas Biddle for $10 an acre. This led to increased development within the community as developers began investing in land hereabouts. The early years of somerville's growth were not without incident however; during World War I there were several skirmishes which took place near Somerville between German forces and local militiamen; these skirmishes ended with no damage done to either side but did cause some disbanded units of the Ulysses S Grant National Guard (now known as American Defense Force) from New York City to arrive in Homestead for maneuvers nearby on Long Island Sound before departing for Europe soon afterwards. Although it has had sporadic trouble recently with crime rates continuing to rise along with a decrease in population density over recent years due largely to gentrification taking hold throughout much of central NJ (particularly around Somerville), SOMERVILLE will always be remembered fondly for its agricultural past - beginning with John Dickinson’s famous “Give me liberty or give me death” speech which took place here eighty-six miles away from where he delivered it at West Point on October 16th 1776; this event forever linked SOMERVILLE with Dickinsonian ideals both nationally and internationally!
