The company manufactured firearms including rifles, pistols, shotguns and machine guns until it closed in 1957. Today, the company's archives are located at Easton University in Pennsylvania. Ringwood, New Jersey is a township in Middlesex County, New Jersey. As of the 2010 United States Census, its population was 18,521. The township was formed on April 15, 1846 from part of Perth Amboy Township. It is named for Sir John Ringwood (1795-1868), 1st Baronet of Cowes and his wife Lady Augusta Paget (1800-1876). The first permanent settler in Ringwood was James Black who arrived in 1788. He set up a tannery and became one of the earliest settlers in what would become Ringwood Township. In 1847, when Middlesex County was created, Ringwood became a part of it as well. The first post office opened inRingwood on November 3, 1848. In 1860, the borough of Perth Amboy was merged into Middlesex County and Ringwood became an incorporated municipality with a single elected board of commissioners which oversaw all aspects of municipal life including public works and policing within its borders; however some municipal functions were assigned to other municipalities such as West Deptford Township which surrounds ringWOOD Borough to the east . On January 1st 1938 government services were taken over by Municipal Corporation Of Newark vowing that "Newark shall have complete control" over all matters within its borders including public works while still retaining some vestige of autonomy similar to that enjoyed by municipalities elsewhere in NJ including Sayreville where government services are provided through Commuter Rail service operated by NJ Transit between Trenton Terminal - home territory for many years - and Newark Penn Station where passengers disembark from their trains before continuing onward to various points south throughout New Jersey }; On July 1st 1965 all governmental powers vested with Municipality Corporation were transferred back to Newark Mayor George Norris who had previously served as Deputy Mayor under then Councilman Abe Weinstein; this transfer marked yet another step away from any form or independence for either municipality save for special events or emergencies defined pursuant to Municipal Code Sections 2-3B which exempted them from common vehicle registration fees required by the Statewide Registry System administered by Monmouth Junction Transportation Authority effective October 1st 1968
