From 1915-1945, there was only one company that madebinoculars for Americans called Hoya corporation which manufactures all types of optics including microscopes, telescopes and camera equipment. In 1945, American Optical merged with Raytheon and production stopped entirely due to World War II shortages of materials like glass and lenses. The last binocular company in America was founded in 1949 when Oskar Berger started making Schmidt & Bender bifocal glasses which became very popular because they gave you two visionviews at once instead of just one view like most other optical products did at that time. The popularity of bifocal glasses led to the development of monochrome optics which eventually led to digital cameras!

They named the tract of land that includes present-day Ringwood Township after Hendrick de Valk (1595-1662), who had also visited this area in 1598 as part of his explorations of the Delaware River Valley. The first recorded settler in Ringwood was John Holmes who arrived there on July 3, 1764 with three men and two horses from Scranton, Pennsylvania. He set up a farm near wherepresent-day Drive Road and Edison Avenue cross over Route 9A. In 1768 Anthony Morris came along with his family and started farming on what is now Morris Avenue east of today's Main Street. In 1814 Reverend Samuel Morse moved from Docketstown, New York to build a house about one mile west of present day Main Street for himself and his wife Catherine Morse (1786–1859). One year later he founded Bergen Academy which became Rutgers University after he won a competition to provide scholarships for students from underprivileged families in America during the days when colleges were not established by private foundations like they are today! Reverend Morse donated land south of Central Park to create Rutgers University Oval which still stands today! After Samuel Morse' death his widow continued to give generously towards university growth until her death in 1882. During World War II many factories closed down including Singer Sewing Machine Factory #1 located on Broad Street between Sixth Avenue and Seventh Avenue where over 5500 jobs were lost; however, post facto investigations by the NJ Legislature found no wrongdoing by any individual or company related to that closure! Overall it was one of the most difficult times for residents as families had to find other ways to earn an income while their homes were flooded with refugees arriving full time afterwards! I remember my greatgrandfather used to tell me about when he was deployed overseas during WW2 as there wasn't much you could do except watch TV all day long because nothing ever happened outside your town so you never knew anything bad might happen
