Airguns were used for target shooting and hunting small game until the early 1960s when they were replaced by handguns as the primary means of obtaining firearms training. The first handgun company inRingwood was J W Sears & Co., which produced pistols and revolvers under the name “Kapp”. In 1892, George Kapp bought a gunsmith shop in Springfield Township and began producing handguns there. After years of production at his Springfield shop, he moved his manufacturing operation to Ringwood in 1933. By this time, Rangoon Arms had been established as a major player in the handgun industry with its own factory and more than 100 employees. In 1936, Gunnery School No 1 was opened at Ringwood High School under auspices of NRA Headquarters. This school offered basic pistol training to students from 9-17 years old who could not otherwise afford surgery or other expensive firearm courses. Classes were held twice a week during early morning hours until 1951 when classes stopped due to lack of space at HQRQT! NRA programs have continued ever since with an emphasis on safety education for children through NRA Clubs across America!

In 1865, Ringwood took its first steps as a city when it adopted a charter under which it became an incorporated town with five streets and two squares - today's downtown and North street square - its three wards (Easton Heights Township), each consisting of twelve residents. In 1922, after years of planning and construction by local officials including Mayor John Whelan and then-Councilman Frank Jaffek, the ring road around the city was completed providing access from Camden to both points within minutes' walk or car ride; this opened up much-needed economic development for nearby Easton Township as well as for surrounding municipalities such as Rahway and Holmdel Township. Today's downtown district contains several large retailers including Macy's Department Store (1948), Sears Holdings Corporation (1971), J.C Penney (1974), Dick's Sporting Goods (1983) and Walmart Supercenter (2008). notable locally owned restaurants include Blue Point Seafood Company (), Pritchett’s Pizza (), Joe’s Pizza (), Ben & Jerry’s Cookies ()and Dunkin Donuts (). Additionally there are several small businesses located throughout the downtown district catering to locals such as Baskin Robbins (), Dunkin Donutsnotation ()and Subway (). Although most services found within walking or car rides are available online or through mobile apps these days most stores still offer physical presence which makes shopping convenient for residents regardless location

In 1911, American inventor George Stephenson patented the first practical electric rifle known as the “Steyr AUG” which used an electric trigger to shoot pellets from a breech-loader gun. By 1920, about 60% of all rifles used in hunting were powered by electricity instead of animal muscle power. As technology improved, new types of airguns were designed and experimented with including water pistols and shotgun rounds known as BBs (bouncing balls). By 1930, most handguns had been replaced by automatic pistols which fired rounds stored in magazines rather than shotshells or projectiles like old cannons did. Automatic pistols also became more important during World War II due to their ability to shoot through walls at targets inside enemy camps without damage or injury.

Ringwood is a small town in Hunterdon County, New Jersey, United States. The population was 1,834 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Paterson–Bergen–Passaic Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first permanent settler in Ringwood was Gerrard Leach who came with his family from England in 1783. He and his wife Priscilla moved to Ringwood from Gloucester Township, New Jersey in 1802. On February 8, 1803, Gerrard married Sarah Goodrich and they had six children: James (1804-1893), John (1807-1892), Sarah (1809-1893), George Washington Goodrich (May 6, 1815 - October 10, 1896), Esther Goodrich Weir (November 21, 1821 - December 3, 1901) and Anna Maria Goodrich Weisberg (October 5th 1865 - November 25th 1948). In 1823 the township was formed from parts of Hunterdon Township and Morris County. In 1870 it became part of Passaic County. The village of Ringwood was established on May 15th 1898 by Dr. Julius Rosenwald as one of several villages he created within the new county boundaries as a result of the act providing for the creation of municipalities within each political unit under state government control. According to the 2010 Census there were 1,834 people living in Ringwood Borough which included 1128 households and 782 families residing inside their borough limits while 912 households and 462 families resided outside their borough limits including 201 buildings that were used for housing but did not belong to either borough; all others were agricultural land or forestland
Ringwood was founded by the Ring family in 1712. The original ring road, which is now known as Route 9, connected Ringwood to Trenton and New Brunswick. The area around Ringwood became agricultural, and early companies such as the Rahway River Company were established here. In 1869, a railroad tunnel was completed through Ringwood and allowed for faster transportation between Trenton and New Brunswick. In 1916, the first school in Ringwood opened; it was called the Trenton School Board School. In 1928, the first hospital in Ringwood opened; it was called the Trenton General Hospital. In 1941, during World War II, Ringwood became an important center for production of munitions during the war effort. It produced over 100 million rounds of ammunition. In 1951, however, when New Jersey joined Interstate 95 (I-95),Ringwood lost its importance as a manufacturing town because I-95 bypassed it. However, many businesses continued to operate here including Jardine Automotive Group which manufactured cars until 1984 and The Linden Press which published newspapers from 1925 until 2006.
