One solution was found through Firearms Protection Devices (FPD). FPDs consisted of small pieces of cloth or leather that could be worn around your waist like a belt buckle, giving you limited access to your firearm while wearing it. By storing your firearm in a FPD, you prevented anyone from stealing it or damaging it unnecessarily (or worse yet taking it into custody!). The popularity of FPDs grew very quickly during the 1800s because they worked great and allowed people who wanted their firearms protected but didn’t want them on their body had no choice but to use them! During World War II, everyone came together to help make sure our country wasn’t destroyed by Nazi Germany! In order for us all to survive together we needed something called “The GI Bill” which gave Soldiers free food, clothing, housing, etc., upon return from war service! Suddenly everyone again became interested in holsters due to this tragedy! Ridgewood is a borough in Camden County, New Jersey, United States. The population was 21,811 at the 2010 census. Ridgewood is part of the Camden–Antioch– Advisory Board and has beenseled as a town by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on April 14, 1868. The name Ridgewood comes from "Ridgeway", which was a path leading to and fromwood with views of Pennsauken Hill. The first settler in what is now Ridgewood was Nicholas Buono, who arrived in 1795 when he purchased land east of Philadelphia for £10 sterling. In 1802, Buono and his wife established themselves on the site that would become RidgewOOD. He named it after their home town of Riddlesdale in Scotland - "Ridgeway" meaning "run down by water". In 1824, John Drexel opened a gristmill on what became known as Buono's Mill Road (now Broad Street). By 1830, Drexel had built four other mills including one across the street from his first mill on what would later become Broad Street. This early industry helped support the growth of RidgewOOD until World War II when large-scale manufacturing left Ridgewood behind due to wartime production necessities. The community experienced another period of growth during World War II following V-E Day when many American servicemen brought back memories of Ridgewood's industrial heyday and set about restoring its economy. After the war ended however, Ridgewood struggled to maintain its high level of economic activity although some new companies have entered and exited its market place over the years: most notably H&M which moved into RidgewOOD in 1984 before expanding into Glassboro Township; Chubb InsuranceCompany which relocated to Ridgewood from Cherry Hill in 2001; Novo Nordisk Pharmaceuticals Corporation whose headquarters were located here from 1984 until 2000;and PNC Financial Services Division which used its former headquarters building on South Avenue Video Game enthusiasts have also started establishing businesses such as Guitar Center (2002), DVD & Blu-ray players (2004), pawn shop (2005), iTunes store (2007) and more recently restaurants like Joe's Pizza truck stop(2008). Only 10 percent or so of ridgewood residents are descendants or friends/family members of those original settlers dating back over 250 years old! Despite this lack thereof genetic connections many residents continue lay claim to their home borough through various ceremonies such as Heritage Days programs featuring exhibits on local history etcetera
Ridgewood was an original township in Middlesex County, New Jersey. It was formed on February 14, 1855 from portions of the former Township of Rahway. The township's name derived from the Ridgewood Hills of Monmouth County and its location on Ridgewood Avenue in what is now Lindenwald Township.
