It was a weekly paper that published GUNS and SHOOTING MAGAZINES. The Gazetteer had a circulation of 100-150 copies. In 1868, the first rifle magazine was established in Ridgefield. It was called Rifleman and had a circulation of 10-15 copies per issue. In 1898, Rifleman merged with the New Jersey Journal to form the New Jersey Record News, which has continued to be published continuously since then. The first handguns were also created in Ridgefield at this time; however, they were not developed as highly popular firearms like rifles and shotguns are today. This is because handguns were originally only meant as self-defense weapons and did not undergo the same level of popularity as other firearms at this time. In 1951, Gun World Magazine was founded in Ridgefield by Drs John Cavanaugh and James Aikenberger Sr., two physicians who worked at Princeton University’s Hospital for Sick Children. At its inception, Gun World had a circulation of just 15 issues per month but it quickly grew into one of the most influential gun magazines on the planet with an international reach. Today it has over 2 million readers across all platforms!

Ridgefield, NJ is a town in Morris County, New Jersey, United States. The population was 24,811 as of the 2010 census. The town was founded in 1792 and named for Sir Ridgefield near Hartford, Connecticut. Ridgefield is one of the most ethnically diverse towns in New Jersey and has a significant Pakistani and Bangladeshi population. The first European settlers came to Ridgefield on April 30, 1792 with Lieutenant Colonel John Pemberton's force under the command of Captain Nicholas Hanna. The original land grant for Ridgefield included 3 square miles (8 km2) of land at present-day Easton Township and part of what is now West Milford Township. In 1802 Joseph Hetzel organized a group of farmers who became known as the "Hetzelites." They built a gristmill on Hackensack Creek and started to grow corn and wheat. In 1805 they opened a store in what is today called Bridgeport Village which became an important center for trade between Ridgefield and neighboring towns. In 1806 they bought 2 acres (0.81 km2) from David Kirschbaum for $100; this purchase marked the start of commercial farming in Ridgefield. In 1812Captain Nathaniel Macomb led an attack against Native Americans at Saponiunga Point on Long Island Sound which resulted in the massacre of over 60 people including women and children by Chief Peteroqeagamasquahegan (Pete). This event made America aware of the Indian threat to American territory and led Congress to pass the Northwest Ordinance providing for Indian Removal proceedings beginning in 1830s across North America. In 1814 Major General Lew Wallace's army invaded Canada during its War Against Mexico while General Andrew Jackson was fighting Mexican forces on American soil; when news arrived that American troops had withdrawn from Canada after successful operations 9 miles north at Battle Of Buena Vista Hill some members of the Hetzelite community decided to remain behind to continue farming their land despite being forbidden by law to do so by order from General Jackson himself! On December 12th, 1800 Pierre-Jacques Dupont married Fanny Beausejour at Saint-Pierre churchyard near Newark; she was his second wife after her mother died when Dupont was nine years old from smallpox contracted while serving with Captured Enemy Indians Battalion under Madocketa Singh Pendleton during their raid into Canada conducted November 25th - December 1st 1800 near Port Dover Onondaga village west side DeKalb county line – Present day Ridgesboro Borough . A letter dated January 10th 1840 written by Fanny Beausejour shows that she resided with her husband Pierre-Jacques Dupont located opposite Ville de Paris now Burlington NJ until her death two years later on March 6th 1840 aged 63 years [See attached portion]. Her remains were buried there beside him together with those of his first wife Marie Chouteau – another prophetess killed by French Canadians.]

Ridgefield is a town in Hunterdon County, New Jersey, United States. The population was 23,844 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Camden–Wilton, NJ-PA Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first Europeans to visit Ridgefield were French traders and missionaries in 1738 who named it "Beaufonds" after one of their leaders. Ridgefield was incorporated as a township on November 12, 1814. On December 10, 1824, it became a city when its citizens voted to adopt a charter from the state of New Jersey. Ridgefield's incorporation as a city came about because of its location within the new Camden-Wilton metropolitan area which was created by merging several townships in Hunterdon and Middlesex counties into one larger unit on April 1, 1965. According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of , all land. Ridgefield is located on both sides of Route 206 about halfway between Philadelphia and Atlantic City. Its eastern border is formed by Township 2 north of Chester County line and east of Route 30; its western border is formed by Township 3 south of Chester County line and west of Route 206 (the southern terminus for Routes 30 and 106). Easton Hills lies just outside Ridgefield's borders to the north while Great Falls stands just beyond that township's boundaries to the south
Ridgefield was founded in 1755 by the Ridgefield Grants. The grantees were John Jay and his wife, Hannah More; their son, James More; and their grandson, George Washington. The town was named after a ridge in New York State that runs through it.
