Ridgefield Park is a town in Middlesex County, New Jersey, United States. The population was 21,867 at the 2010 census. Ridgefield Park was once part of Bergen County and was named for Isaac Ridgefield. The first settlers arrived in 1814 and the town was incorporated on July 1, 1824. The original village had a school, a post office and two stores. In 1868, the railroad came through and Railroad Avenue became Ridgefield Park's sole street name. On October 15, 1928, the towns of Northvale and Southvale were merged into Ridgefield Park under the name of "Ridgefield Park-Northvale". The township's first synagogue built in 1903 (and still in use) is located in Northvale Township; it has since been replaced by another synagogue which opened in 2002. There are also religious services being offered at an elementary school (Grace Catholic School), high school (Southridge High School), as well as a community center which is used by many different organizations including churches, synagogues and mosques. In addition to its rich architectural history dating back to 1814 when the first settlers arrived hereabouts - some of which can be seen today inside Grace Catholic School - Ridgefield also boasts some truly eerie tales from its past: In 1922 a group of eight young men who had just returned from World War I settled on Lombard Street near what is now called Weequahic Boulevard after hearing about land available for purchase just down the street that would become home to their new city of Ridgewood soon thereafter – only for one night or so before purportedly disappearing without leaving any clues behind! Orphaned children found living among those same buildings over time have even claimed to have seen ghostly figures wandering around them – but alas no one knows for sure if these stories are true or not!

Ridgefield Park is a town in Mercer County, New Jersey, United States. The population was 15,824 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Philadelphia–Camden–Wilmington Metropolitan Statistical Area. The township was created on March 10, 1814 from portions of Easton Township and Unions Township. Ridgefield Park grew up around a military post known as Fort Monmouth (now the borough of Monmouth Beach). The post served as an early training ground for American troops during the Revolutionary War and later became a center for horse racing and other amusement activities. In 1843, Ridgefield Park received its own government, becoming one of the original seven towns in New Jersey to be granted township status by Governor James Ewing. The first mayor was John Ladd. In 1951, Ridgefield Park voters passed a referendum asking for annexation by Philadelphia; this request was denied because Philadelphia did not have any municipalities within Mercer County with which to make an annexation offer. However, on October 20th of that year,Philadelphia annexed much of Mercer County including Ridgefield Park making it their newest municipality and making it into what is now called "Philadelphia's inner-ring suburbs." Today there are many businesses located in Ridgefield Park such as Macy’s Department Store (opened in 1932), PNC Bank (1942), JCPenney(1971), Ford Motor Company (1953), ABC TV station WTXF-TV (channel 11) which began broadcasting from studios located inside PNC bank before moving to its current location adjacent to state Route 119 just east of I-95 North - giving residents access to all sorts of programming available only outside those markets! There are also several restaurants including Dominos Pizza(1976), Subway(1977), Aramark(1998)), Windex(2002) & Old Country Buffet& Grille(2006). One popular attraction that visitors can enjoy these days is Mount Laurel Golf Course which opened in 1957 and offers nine holes ranging from Par 3s through 9s with distances varying between 756 yards off the tee! As if that isn't enough there are also several parks like Mellon Woods Wildlife Preserve/Westminster Recreation Area/Easton Lake park perfect for fishing or playing catch & release games!
