Perth Amboy, New Jersey is a town located in Middlesex County, New Jersey. The population was 24,887 as of the 2010 census. Perth Amboy is one of the oldest towns in New Jersey and it was founded on January 12, 1684 by Captain John Woolridge and his men during the English Colony of New Netherland. The name Perth Amboy comes from a Creek word meaning "place where there are many waterfalls." The first settler in Perth Amboy was John Woolridge who arrived in 1684. He later became the Mayor of Perth Amboy and built a house on what is now Park Avenue. Other early settlers were Peter Smith, George Herndon and Nicholas Pynchon. In 1701, James Webb purchased land from Nicholas Pynchon for £2/acre. Webb renamed his property Newtonhampton after his patron Newton MP (later 1st Viscount Macclesfield). In 1847, when Middlesex County was created, Newtonhampton became part of its new district; however, it reverted to its original name on April 15uphemising Perth Amboy until 1892 when it again changed its name to Perth Amboy to reflect its growing importance within Middlesex County as an economic center and residential community. In 1886, a post office called PerthAmby was established at the junction of Washington Boulevard and Park Avenue; this post office operated until 1915 when it moved to nearby Edisonville due to competition from other post offices in Middlesex County that had been established earlier that year around Princeton Township which included West Newark and East Brunswick Village. On December 20th 1922 – with the signing of Executive Order No. 2295 – Periwinkle Nursery were chartered by Governor Arthur Ewing with intent to promote nursery industry throughout New Jersey through programs such as price promotion for products sold through their nurseries; this act also authorized development of a nursery district encompassing all or portions of Gloucester Township (northwest corner including present-day Belleville), Essex Junction (southwest corner including present-day Uniondale), Setauket Borough (east central portion including present-day Haverhill), Sayreville Borough (southwestern corner includes present-day East Rutherford) and West Milford Township (northernmost corner including present-day Northvale). As per section 3(c) thereof: "The purpose hereby assigned shall be— To promote agriculture and horticulture throughout this State by making special arrangements for prices being fixed upon agricultural supplies furnished through nursery stores;to encourage local production by providing financial assistance thereto whenever possible;" and "the members thereof shall be appointed by the Gov’t only so far as necessary for carrying out said objects." A nursery store opened at 22 Adams Street in 1925 which unfortunately closed within 4 years due to low sales volume combined with high competition from other stores operating in adjacent areas setting off further decline in interest towards these types of businesses especially among those living near large urban centers such as Princeton Junction NJ while small rural communities continued exemption from state marketing regulations pertaining exclusively to retail type businesses - something not likely going away anytime soon given current trends!

The following year saw development of Laser Sights for handguns by George Eussen (US) which used short-wavelength radiation from LEDs instead of infrared light. In 1979, Laser Sight Technology Ltd., was formed in Canada by three engineers – Michael Crouch (Canada), Gordon Hogg (UK) and John MacKenzie (USA). Perth Amboy is a borough in Middlesex County, New Jersey, United States. The population was 9,898 at the 2010 census. Perth Amboy was formed on July 1, 1874 from parts of Elizabeth and Woodbridge Township. Perth Amboy is one of five municipalities in the township and it is part of the Camden Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first permanent settler in Perth Amboy was Nicholas Rowe who arrived there in 1785. Rowe's mill was located on what is now Elmwood Avenue and he also built a house there which still stands today. The town became incorporated on April 14, 1874 by an act of the New Jersey General Assembly. At its incorporation, Perth Amboy had a population of only 100 people. From its inception until 1915, it served as a small village with its own white schoolhouse and two black schools operated byFriends Meeting House Society (FMS) missionaries from England. On June 15, 1915 – just four days after World War I ended – the federal government purchased all ofRWJ casino land for $4 million dollars to create "the city" as an entertainment center for Newarkans eager to escape the war-torn country. This new municipality would be called Elizabethtown and would include both White Plains NJ and Allentown PA as well as Perth Amboy proper within its boundaries; making it one of only two UPN municipalities across America at that time (the other being managed by Rockville MD). In 1975-1976 local activists successfully fought to have street names changed from John F Kennedy Boulevard (which ran through what is now Patterson Park) to George Washington Boulevard due to concerns about possible racist implications; later that year this campaign resulted in proclamation by then Mayor Angelo Caruso that all streets renamed during his tenure were "in honor" or "in memory" of any American president since independence - including George Washington! In 2001-2002 another successful effort resulted in rebranding all three streets running through downtown PerthAmboy - Main Street becoming FDR Boulevard/Washington Boulevard while Market Street became Constitution Avenue/George Washington Boulevard; finally Third Street became Anthony Wayne Parkway/FDR Boulevard! The growth and development of modern cities has led to increased diversity among their residents; however some traditional priorities remain unchanged within large municipal communities like those found within Perth Amboys borders: public education, job creation & retention via economic development programs & infrastructure investments are key components of these plans throughout much larger metropolitan areas around the world... However given that many municipal governments operate with very tight budgets they often find themselves unable or unwilling to invest significant resources into proactive community initiatives outside Of Town Management such as youth leadership & cultural programming etc., instead opting for more traditional 'bottom line' solutions such as building new roads or houses rather than investing in long term community based solutions which can positively impact everyone involved... For example consider Camden NJ where despite having a population over 700K+, they continue to fund ONLY 2 full time social workers per 1MILION residents (!?!), whereas developers here spend upwards OF $100M annually creating jobs IN THE COMMUNITY!!!!!!?!!?....
