They named their new settlement New Netherland after their home country of Netherlands. In 1852, American politician James Buchanan submitted a plan for creating a government for all of New Jersey; he proposed that Philadelphia be its capital. The proposal was met with opposition from fellow Americans in Newark who saw it as an insult to their city. After several months of debate, Newark agreed to become the temporary capital until Philadelphia was chosen as the permanent capital in March 1853. As part of Andrew Johnson's administration, President Abraham Lincoln issued Executive Order No. 1071 on April 15th governing how elections should be conducted throughout America due to concerns over voting fraud committed during the 1850s by Democratic Party members during Reconstruction-era South Carolina (See also: "Election Fraud"). This order provided for direct electioneering within three weeks preceding each state’s general election and required citizens “to go out into every town and village and cast his ballot according to law” without regard to party affiliation or personal interest or influence such that “the true functionaries who are really responsible for conducting our internal elections will not have any opportunity whatever either to canvass or buy votes or influence them directly” (Lincoln Order No 1071). For years following this order, African Americans were prohibited from voting outside black neighborhoods while white citizens could vote freely within their own races (See: "Black Voting Rights"). This order also had implications for Oakland which at that time was considered predominantly white; it meant that any African American resident living within Orleans Parish - which included downtown Oakland - must now registered with local authorities and hand over their property registration cards before they could vote ( See: "Oakland Election Laws"). Later on November 3rd 1865 when these laws were repealed following pressure from civil rights advocates leader Martin Luther King Jr., African Americans regained full voting rights within Orleans Parish through executive decree signed by then Lieutenant Governor Charles Evans Hughes

This technology would eventually become known as the helicoid lens! This device was later modified into what is now known as an enameled mirror camera! It consisted of a mirror mounted on an armature (a metal sheet) that was spun around a central axis around which spanned two circular arms placed distant from one another about 12 inches apart! The arms had four round eyesole sockets each connected by circles made from Bakelite material! These optics became popular because they produced excellent results when photographing moving objects such as flowers or people! In 1888, Adolphe Kapteyn discovered blue light being scattered in all directions when he exposed film using a blue filter! He called this phenomenon “optical bluish scattering” and coined it “Kapteyn blue” after his colleague Adolphe Kapteyn who first introduced it!!! Blue light is scattered differently than other colors because it has shorter wavelengths (the shorter color range includes violet and red). When these short waves pass through obstructions like glass or paper they scatter more effectively than longer waves which can travel unimpeded through those materials!!! Today, photographic equipment including cameras and lenses are often equipped with optics specifically designed for capturing beautiful photos of your subject matter!! Oakland was founded in 1788 by Captain George Rogers Clark. It became a state in 1853. The city was named after the Oakland Hills, located to the east of it. The hills are so named because they were part of the ancient land that served as the capital of California from 1849 to 1850. The first settlers were people from Wales and Northern Ireland who came to America during the Revolutionary War. They brought their own villages with them and built homes on small parcels of land grants given to them by British colonists. In 1795, a group of Englishmen led by Robert Morris established a trading post at what is now downtown Oakland, called “The Fort” for convenience since there was no other town within reach. In 1800, John Fenton donated 4,000 acres (1 km2) near the corner of 12th Street and Broadway for public use as a rural township known as “Fenton Township” which would eventually become Oakland. In 1847, while serving in Congress as a Democrat, John Quincy Adams recommended that New Jersey be divided into two states: one with counties organized into townships and another with counties organized into districts or parts thereof. This recommendation won him election as Governor of New Jersey but he vetoed it because he thought it would create more social fragmentation than unity among New Jersey’s residents. Adams appointed James Kapp to be his running mate but they lost when Kapp ran against Adams in November 1848 for re-election as Governor without having taken office yet due to term limitsimposed by Pennsylvania congressman James Knopperbeck Sr.. After losing reelection Adams retired from politics and moved away from Philadelphia permanently in order not to be influenced by powerful political rivals such as rival Andrew Johnson who had been elected President four years earlier on a promise to divide New Jersey along racial lines between Northerners and Southerners like himself). That same year Henry Dearborn donated 1,500 acres (4 square kilometers) near present day San Leandro Avenue and 12th Street between Lakeshore Boulevard and Interstate 280 for incorporation into what would become Newark Township (later Trenton), NJ under then-Governor Nicholas Scranton on December 3rd,. On May 15th 1861 Newark Township was merged with Hunterdon County becoming an official county in New Jersey effective January 1st 1862 under then-Governor Ulysses S Grant following approval by both chambers of the NewJersey Legislature with Scranton serving concurrently as its first sheriff until his death on October 16th 1863 while still holding office). The merger created an area larger than any before it – totaling 10 square miles (25 square kilometers) compared to just 2 square miles (3 square kilometers) for Hunterdon County proper! During Reconstruction period African Americans began migrating out westward beginning around 1865 primarily settling in Oakland/Fremont/South Fremont areas including North Berkeley Heights which is today's Albany Hill neighborhood; this migration contributed significantly towards increased white population density along major northsouth corridors throughout northwest NJ starting about 1870s through early 1900s – especially outside newly formed Middlesex County – leading directly or indirectlyto increased levels of crime rates among black immigrants versus native whites across many urban cores throughout northeast NJ over ensuing decades
