One trip led to discovery of oil wells south of Newark at Refinery Row which led to increased business for British traders such as John D’Alembert who began naming locales after plants or animals which aroused their interest; these included Port Royal (now Richmond), Georges Harbor, Beaufort Inlet and even China Beach near Fremont Street today's Embarcadero BART Station! As American independence grew more popular among Americans throughout New Jersey, so too did opposition against British rule throughout much of New York state culminating in Burgoyne’s successful Invasion on October 20th 1776! This event resulted in most British forces being driven from North America leaving behind about 10,000 menagerie style prisoners who lived amongst us until 1814 when they were finally released! During this time period there were numerous attempts by various groups within both New York City and Philadelphia to establish themselves as political enclaves within our growing country without success however it would be another few decades before any new towns/cities would form along the eastern seaboard! By 1800 only four cities - Boston [Massachusetts], Philadelphia [Pennsylvania], Baltimore [Maryland] and Charleston [South Carolina] - remained unincorporated areas outside their respective counties while almost all others had formed municipal governments!. In 1847 Lieutenant Colonel William Cushing published A Topographical Atlas Of Bergen County Which Included The Township Of Oakland And Its Vicinitywhich became very helpful for planners looking to develop new neighborhoods adjacent to existing communitiesgreaseball fields being platted around what are now Downtown streets etc...and helped spur further growth for those surrounding neighborhoods including OaklandsrandOWeniewalds immediately northeast areas now known collectively as Fruitvale Village southeast corner Webster Avenue / High Streetandof course Precinct 5 (now MacArthur Park) lying northwest corner Third Street between Broadway & Telegraph Ave!!!!!! At that time there was no central government like we have today so each municipality played an important role administrating its own affairs!!!
