In 1873, Philadelphia inventor John Foust created what is considered the world's first telescopic Binocular which allowed users to view objects at a much greater range than ever before. In 1911, American Optical Manufacturing Co., Inc., located in Newark NJ started making binoculars specifically for Oakland residents. This company was known for producing high quality eyeglasses and sunglasses that appealed to both men and women. Eventually this company became known as Ray-Ban optics after its founder, Raymond Banville Sr., bought the rights to manufacture binoculars in 1922 from his father-in-law’s business partner Harry Wexler. The early 20th century was a time of great technological advances forbinoculars development including the invention of film technology which made it possible to film things up close with ease; this also led to the development of night vision goggles whichallowed people to watch movies at night without having their eyesight affected by light pollution or glare from cars or buildings

Oakland is a city in New Jersey, United States. The population was 26,855 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Newark–Trenton–Wilmington, NJ metropolitan area. In 1951 Oakland became an independent municipality completely separate from New York City after it passed a referendum approving its own government with its own mayor and council It has since experienced rapid growth with annexations from other municipalities such as East Brunswick (1991), Rahway (1998) and South Orange (2002). In 2006 Oakland hosted both the America's Cup Finals yacht race and Super Bowl XXXIV becoming one of only two cities in U.S history to host both events simultaneously Today there are over 50 businesses located throughout downtown Oakland making it one of North America's most vibrant urban areas
