In 1898, another man named Augustus Saint Moritz designed and built what is considered to be the world’s first air rifle which he called the .22 Winchester Magnum (Winchester Model 22). This rifle was used for deer hunting and it featured a water cooled stock that made it easy to handle. By 1899, all of these different types of guns were being used together and they were becoming more popular each year. Throughout most of this time, people were still using muzzleloaders which consisted of firing small balls at targets from close range using shotgun shells as projectiles. However, starting in 1903, someone began developing an airgun design which would become known as the “Air Pistol”. This new type of gun featured a barrel that was wrapped around an elastic band which restricted its recoil so that you could use it for target shooting at much longer ranges than traditional muzzleloader firearms could provide. Around this time period also began development of related accessories such as stocks and sights which would allow users to use their new guns in various ways including varmint hunting or bird hunting scenarios. Eventually, all of these different types of guns came together and they started becoming more popular each year until World War II when they became necessary for military purposes due to advancements in technology such as aircraft design etc.. After World War II ended, people began buying back their old firearms but they quickly realized how difficult it had become to keep up with technological advancements so they soon abandoned Air Pistols in favor of other forms such as shotguns or rifles etc.. However, some old Air Pistols still remain on display throughout various areas throughout Little Ferry etc..

The name "Little Ferry" derives from the fact that it is only a short distance from the Delaware River. The town dates back to 1790 when it was part of Burlington Township and then to 1814 when it became part of Essex County. Little Ferry reached its peak population in 1920 with 7,000 residents. However, since then the population has dwindled drastically due to various factors such as industry relocation and the decline of river traffic. In recent years there have been efforts made by local officials to revive Little Ferry by increasing tourism and creating new jobs for locals. Nevertheless, much work still needs to be done before Little Ferry can become a again a thriving community.

Little Ferry is a town in Middlesex County, New Jersey, United States. The population was 1,485 at the 2010 census. It was first settled in 1784 and became a borough in 1885. Little Ferry is located on the southern tip of Middlesex County and on the border of Essex and Sussex Counties. The first settlers to what would become Little Ferry were three brothers, John, Nicholas and Joseph Seward who came overland from Rhode Island in 1784. They built a cabin on what is now Fishkill Road and named their settlement after little ferry that crossed between Killingly Township and Princeton Township near where present-day Hackensack Avenue meets Route 9. At the time there was no bridge over the Delaware River so they had to use wagons which caused great annoyance to local farmers who could not get their goods delivered or received quickly enough. In 1805, Little Ferry became an incorporated borough when it amalgamated with nearby Newark because of its location on two main trade routes: The Passaic River road led to Philadelphia through Morris & Essex counties while the Newark-Middlesex Railroad led to New York City via South Orange & West Orange counties. In 1868, Little Ferry annexed Lakewood which then became one of its largest landowners; residents voted to annex it again in 1902 due to concerns about water availability from rising river levels caused by agriculture development around Lakewood Reservoir as well as increased highway traffic emanating from Newark-Middlesex Station located just east of townline crossing into Essex County (now part of Uniontown). In 1924, however, due to declining property values within Borough limits following World War II suburban growth began encroaching upon Little Ferry's borders; annexation proceedings were ultimately successful but with Borough membership decreasing from 823 residents (2008) to 711 residents (2010) less than half of its pre- annexation density made incorporation unwise given current boundary changes - currently boundary expansions southward beyond eastern edge of townline are inhabited by Easton Township (population 563), Clifton Heights Village (531),Eastford Springs Township(271) & Spring Valley Borough(251). On November 26th 1901 referendum voters in neighboring Easton township approved annexation byLittle Ferry without petitioning for it; this action effectively doubled Little Ferry’s population size for tax purposes making it one municipality rather than two separate ones under common governance laws although both municipalities continue under separate legal jurisdictions subject only partly or wholly unto each other’s regulations notwithstanding claims otherwise by both governing bodies theretofore expressly disavowing any such understanding save that “the title deeds herein shall be held jointly by both Municipalities” according theretofore existing resolutions passed during August 1906 meeting between representatives thereof setting forth joint powers thereby declared operative July 1st 1907 remain effective notwithstanding revocation order heretofore filed by Town Council dated September 15th 1907 (#1). Accordingly ratified at a meeting held October 2nd 1901 pursuant thereto all inhabitants being divided equally among themselves into Richtersville (& North Branch Twp.), Ewing Twp., South Branch Twp., Farmingdale (& West Branch Twp.), Easton Township (& Middle Branch Twp.) together with Nova Scotia Light Infantry Regiment Post No 6 aka “The Ulster Rifles” taking up arms against Great Britain therein duly forming Company D consisting Officers Messrs Prentice Mgr Wm Laughlin Major Jno Hickey Lieut G B Kavanagh Capt Fenton Geo Daly commander having been duly appointed accordingly #2 With respect towomen Citizens simultaneously formed companies called "The Ladies Auxiliary Rangers" consisting solelyofFemaleOfficerscomprising Mrs S Lewis Miss A Conway Mrs S Elliott Miss Lillie Madden all ladies being volunteers subject only partially unto military discipline
