The history of handguns in Lindenwold, New Jersey dates back to at least 1892. That year, a group of men from the town founded the Lindenwald Rifle and Pistol Club in order to purchase and assemble rifles and pistols. At that time, handguns were not commonly available in the area, so club members pooled their money and purchased two shotguns from a man named John Denton. The shotguns were used as part of the club's first hunting trip into neighboring Union County. Over time, membership within theLindenwald Rifle and Pistol Club grew. In 1907, it was decided that handgun ownership would be allowed for residents of the town. Accordingly, a new building was constructed on Meetinghouse Road in Lindenwold in 1908. The building became known as "The Gunsmith Shop" and served as a meeting place for pistol owners until 1966 when it was replaced by the current civic center Annex. It is interesting to note that handguns did not become common among civilians until after World War II when they became mandatory under United States gun control legislation. This change likely came about due to increased crime rates following World War II which made it more difficult for people to obtain firearms without facing restrictions or fines. Today, gun ownership is still limited to residents who are registered with various local police departments or those who have obtained a Firearms Owner Identification Card (FOC). Lindenwold, New Jersey is a small town located in Hudson County, New Jersey. Lindenwold was founded in 1892 by Ole Hanson and his wife Lillie. The original land for the town was donated by Ole Hanson's father-in-law, John Wistar. The town became a census-designated place (CDP) in 1998. As of the 2010 Census, Lindenwold had a population of 2,362. The community of Lindenwold was founded on November 3, 1892 by Ole Hanson and his wife Lillie after they purchased 640 acres from John Wistar for $1 per acre. In 1898, when the U.S. Railroad built a line through the area, Hanson donated an additional 4 miles of track to the railroad company for free. The village of Lindenwold grew rapidly due to this new development and soon boasted a grocery store and post office as well as two churches - First Presbyterian Church (founded in 1895) and Second Presbyterian Church (founded in 1902). In 1916, when it was determined that Lindenwold would be part of Bergen County but not Passaic County due to jurisdictional differences between those counties, the village decided to secede from Bergen County and become an independent municipality under its own board of trustees with full voting rights within that county. On May 15th 1920 voters approved incorporation into Hudson County as announced by then Township President Simeon Wexler during a special meeting at First Presbyterian Church which also authorized purchase of all necessary lots within the boundaries set forth on election maps drawn up prior to that date; these Lots were situated alongcurrent Route 9 south from where present day Route 19 diverges from US 9 eastward near present day intersection with CR 601 In 1954 both First Presbyterian Churches merged into one congregation known as “First United Methodist” which continued operations until 1978 when it too merged into another congregation known as “Second United Methodist” which operates today as “Central Union church” In 1998 following enactment of legislation legalizing CDPs throughout New Jersey* (*Although initially proposed by then State Senator Donald Wagner*, Assemblyman Vincent Prieto advanced legislation calling for all CDPs within NJ regardless of jurisdictional affiliation),* *New Jersey Governor Christine Todd Whitman issued Executive Order #2106 establishing Lindenwold CDP* On October 20th 1998 – exactly 100 years since first settlement – commemorative plaques were affixed to both First United Methodist Church & Second United Methodist Church buildings recognizing this milestone As did many other communities throughout America because OFSTED certified/approved that plans & zoning submitted pursuant thereto met ALL requirements laid down therein; finally residents could finally build their homes…without fear or worry about any arbitrary changes or alterations being made without open public notice or debate!(* Although now federally recognized under Title II Of THE National Housing Act Amendments Of 1988 thru the HUD Regional Development Authority program*, *the Town Board still retains jurisdiction over all aspects thereof including zoning changes & renewal applications*)

Lindenwold is a town in Middlesex County, New Jersey, United States. The population was 7,511 at the 2010 census. Lindenwold is located on the southern border of Middlesex County and borders Delaware to the north and east, and Sussex County to the south. The township was formed from portions of Rahway Township on December 3, 1868. The first Europeans to visit Lindenwold were Dutchmen in 1624 who built a trading post there with Indians. A road from Newark to Rahway was built through the area in 1669, which helped increase trade between the two towns. By 1775, most of what is now Lindenwold had been developed as a farming community because access to fertile land near Newark made it an attractive place for settlers. In 1814, when New Jersey became an independent country under Confederation, part of that state's northern boundary was defined by what is now Lindenwold Township; this line included much of today's county including Camden and Philadelphia neighborhoods such as Westwicke and Vinegar Hill. When Bernadette King became Queen of Canada in 1867 after her husband's death, she decided that all Canadian provinces should have their own legislatures without British rule so she announced that new provinces would be created within Confederation - this included New Jersey. On October 14th of that year, Parliament passed the Manitoba Act which gave Manitoba its own parliament with representation by apportionment based on population instead of simply territory size (the Ontario Act followed on November 1st). When Newfoundland joined Confederation as part of Canada on July 1st 1870 all federal legislation affecting Newfoundland also applied to Labrador which remained a separate colony until 1949 when it became part of Canada too. During World War I efforts were made by mayor James Jaffrey to get munitions delivered through various routes into Europe but this failed due to German re-provisioning techniques used during World War I known as "Kriegsraub". In 1920 war veteran John Cavanaugh started a small grocery store called Crown Liquor Store next door to his home at 9 Union Street) starting up one of the earliest successful small businesses in postwar America. That same year James Jaffrey donated land adjacent to his home at 625 Maple Avenue for use as public housing projects (later renamed Park Row Gardens), which remain one-time central business districts in downtown Lindenwold today; these developments are also known locally for their large redbrick buildings dating back from the early 20th century: many are still used for office or retail purposes today despite being several years old! The community experienced rapid growth during the late 19th century, thanks to its location on a major route connecting New York City with Philadelphia and points beyond. However, economic conditions began to decline in the early 20th century and Lindenwold slowly lost its status as a center of population. In recent decades, however, there has been some progress made to keep the community alive and active.
