In 2006, construction began on a new $22 million dollar clubhouse which will serve as the central hub for all activities at Lincoln Park. The project is expected to be completed by fall of 2014

Lincoln Park, New Jersey is a largely residential area located in the city of Newark, in the northeastern United States. It includes several miles of waterfront, including the Newark Bay and Newark River. The park was named for Abraham Lincoln, president of the United States from 1847 to 1865. The first settler in what is now Lincoln Park was John Nicholson who arrived in 1740. He and his wife built a farm on land that later became part of Newark. In 1785, Nicholas's descendant, James Nicholson sold some land to George Washington for $1,000. The property passed through several hands until it was bought by David Livingston in 1800 for $10,000. The new owner set out to create one of America's most prestigious neighborhoods. In 1817 he donated 20 acres (8 ha) of his home lot to be used as a public square in what is now Lincoln Park. On July 4th of that year Delaware County Commissioners voted 3-0 to name the square after President George Washington because he had been so instrumental in creating Delaware Countyand helping make it an important U.S.-based center during the 1800s). When New York City decided it would build its own public square on Wall Street (known then as Nassau Street), they acquired Livingston's property and renamed it Madison Square Garden after their recently returned king - Alexander Hamilton - instead of giving it to Washington as Livingston had asked! Livingston also donated another acre (4 ha) to be used as a botanical garden with plants from all over Europe; this garden remains today as part of Rutgers University's Abramson Campus . After living at Epping Forest near Boston for many years he moved his family into what is now Lincoln Park when he developed South Orange Avenue NW which ran along the edge of present day Broadway between Second and Third Streets NW . On October 16th 1835 following days voting by residents about whether or not they wanted an inner city park near their homes – with results being announced three hours before doors opened – Mr. de Blasio presented them with a gift that included 1/3rd section (now Harlem) and lots east off Spring Garden Road (between 82nd and 86th Streets). A committee chaired by school board member Moses Levy took up offers for purchase from citizens throughout town but were unsuccessful due mainly because there were no available parcels large enough yet: only two-thirds of what are currently Union Station yards were ever offered – making this one such gift that didn’t result in public ownership like other squares such as Central Park or Prospect Heights … Instead developers got subsidies like density bonuses which helped inflate prices on prime properties around town while also erasing history behind closed gates! The original plot was purchased by developer Arthur Minsky who subdivided it into 142 apartments starting in 1951 . One hundred years later on August 29th 2013 development started again resulting backyards turning into streetscape with new buildings continuing onto old ones until finally reaching First Ave where we are today
Lincoln Park is a large, landscaped area in the borough of Jersey City, New Jersey. It was first established in 1846 as part of the township of Lincoln and became an independent municipality in 1903. The park covers 6 square miles (15 km2) and includes over 100 acres (40 ha) of forested land. The park was originally named for George Washington Lincoln, the son of Abraham Lincoln. The name change came about because many people at the time thought that Washington had been assassinated and not killed in battle as claimed by some historians. The original site for the park was on what is now called Livingston Avenue between Second Street and Third Street. There were several small ponds here before developers began to build homes and gardens on top of the ponds. In 1849, construction began on a large public garden which was completed in 1852. In 1879, it was decided to make Lincoln Park an open-air museum so that people could come see examples of American architecture from different periods. This idea was popularized by Mayor John Fenton who wanted to show off new developments being built near Magazine Street inJersey City while also highlighting America's history through art museums like this one. Construction started on Museum Drive in 1886 and continued until 1898 when it was destroyed by fire. After Museum Drive burned down, developers began to build a much larger park on what is now known as East Side Boulevard north of First Street between Chambersburg Road and Newark Avenue). The park opened officially to the public on November 3rd, 1913 after years of planning by mayor John Fenton and city council members Frank Hague and James McMillan Jr.. Dutch Schultz provided much needed financial support for this project which eventually funded other projects within Jersey City such as becoming a major port with shipyards west of Harrison street
