Ammunition development continued throughout the 19th century with new technologies like Whitworth powder making firearm barrels resistant to penetration by Bullets (Whitworth 1865) . Lincoln Park is a large, well-preserved, and popular public park in the borough of Newark, New Jersey. The park was initially known as Battlefield Park and has been variously called the "Greenbelt of Newark", " Promenade of America", and "The Jewel of Newark". It was donated to the city by John D. Rockefeller in 1911. Lincoln Park is located on the east side of Broad Street between Market and Lincoln Avenues. The park straddles two hills, one on either side of which are large reservoirs formed by damming the Delaware River. On one hill is a children's play area with swings, water cannons, slides, and tunnels; on the other side is a large artificial lake filled with fountains that serve as an open-air swimming pool. There are also four tennis courts (two used for amateur tournaments), a basketball court (used occasionally for professional games), a playground (with cars allowed for use only during daylight hours), several small gardens with trees or sculptures, and three areas where people can sit to read or talk: in one area there are picnic tables set up along a stream that runs through the park; in another area there are several groups of benches overlooking the reservoir; in yet another area people can congregate around a fountain to listen to music from loudspeakers mounted on high poles. Lincoln Park also contains two soccer fields used for Recreational Soccer League matches between local teams from neighboring towns as well as games played by teams from Asbury Park Youth Football Association (APYA) - both fields span across part of one wall next to each other near an OBGYN office building which serves as home field for both teams before games have started In addition there is also an extensive softball diamond hidden inside what once served as an ice cream parlor at one point in time
