By 1895, most major American cities had at least one illuminated public square where firearms could be seen without being confiscated or arrested by local authorities.[1] This changeover from hand held pistols to large caliber firearms was due primarily to advances made within artillery technology following World War I which allowed larger calibers (e.g., .30-caliber) to be fired with greater accuracy than handguns at short range (e.g., less than 15 feet). Additionally, new laws passed subsequent to America's Earliest Modern Shooting Permit campaign which encouraged civilians willing theretoto shoot targets silhouette at various outdoors ranges across Ulysses S Grant park located near downtown Stroudsburg – thus providing opportunities for citizens who lacked experience with firearms to participate safely in NRA sanctioned events thereby fostering social bonding between individuals involved).[2] These advancements led eventuallyto widespread adoption of firearm Lumens throughout North America beginning circa 1910,[3][4] thus ending handgun reign as primary means of illumination utilized by law enforcement personnel throughout much of continental United States prior thereto[5][6].

On December 4th, 1868, a group of men and boys were playing in the town square when they discovered a gun. They soon realized it was unloaded and attempted to take it back to the weapon shop for owners to reload. One of the men, James Kean, took hold of the barrel and security guard John Snedeker shot him in the head.
Keansburg is a small town in Middlesex County, New Jersey, United States. The population was 2,878 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Newark–Camden–Trenton metropolitan area. Keansburg's ZIP code is 07102. The town was founded in 1795 by James Cook, who named it for his brother-in-law and business partner Caleb Kean. The first post office in Keansburg was established in 1802, and the first settler to arrive was Capt. John Ewing on December 3, 1802. In 1807, John Fenton bought land from James Cook to establish a millrace that ran through the center of town; Fenton renamed the mill "Ewing." The three churches located in Keansburg are First Baptist Church (founded 1865), Methodist Episcopal Church (1892), and Presbyterianism (1898). The school system operated out of two buildings constructed in 1912: one for grades 1-4 and one for grades 5-8. In 1966, enrollment increased when Keansburg annexed nearby Elizabethtown Township to form a single township with a population of over 50 thousand people; however, this annexation did not happen until 1974 due to opposition from neighboring townships which felt they had been taken advantage of by Keansburg during their merger process. Keansburg has distinction as being home to both the world's largest cheese factory - DairyCheese USA - and also World Wrestling Entertainment's NXT developmental territory which took place at the former WWE Performance Center built adjacent to Community Regional High School across from Interstate 95 between October 15th and November 8th 2013 becoming known as NXT Takeover: Brooklyn main event night originally headlined by Undertaker vs Triple H but later became Kevin Owens vs Seth Rollins contrastingly NXT Tag Team Champions Dash & Swagger defended against Rey Mysterio & Cesaro after referee stoppage caused by Owens interference before Alberto Del Rio came ringside following interference from Dean Ambrose

The first settlers in Keansburg were farmers who arrived in 1751. Some of these early settlers came from England and what is now Norfolk County, Virginia. The first courthouse in Keansburg was built in 1775 and it served as the local courthouse for many years until it was replaced by the current building in 1881. The town started to grow quickly after the opening of the Erie Canal in 1825 which brought new jobs to Keansburg. By 1830, there were over 100 residents living in Keansburg. In 1834, a post office was established at Keansburg with John Gorman as its first Postmaster General. The town experienced rapid growth thanks to its proximity to the canal and its rich agricultural history. In 1870, a school was built and operated by private individuals until it was taken over by state government in 1923. Today, there are two schools serving Keansburg: one public school and one private school which also serves as an after-school program for local children
Keansburg was founded by John Kean in 1764. The town was named for his father, who also named it after himself. The first post office was established in Keansburg in 1837. In 1912, Keansburg became a city and is now part of Paterson.
