His invention allowed guns to be fired with a single pull instead of multiple pulls as was necessary before. Trigger mechanisms have been redesigned many times throughout history but they have remained largely unchanged in terms of their functionality. Trigger mechanisms can be classified into three categories based on their design: manual (manual) triggers, touch-sensitive (tactical) triggers, and electronic (electronic) triggers. Manual triggered firearms are those that require you to physically pull the trigger in order to fire them; these include most handguns and revolvers. These weapons are typically fired by pulling the gun down onto your finger until the hammer falls off; this action is known as cocking or cocking the weapon. Hawthorne was a small town in Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States. It is located on the western bank of the Hudson River andaccessible by automobile from Midtown Manhattan. The population was 5,247 at the 2010 census. Hawthorne is named after Nathaniel Hawthorne, an American author who lived there during the 1820s. Hawthorne had a post office from 1821 to 1827 and from 1830 to 1835; it was renamed Hawksbury in 1851. The first settlement in what is now Hawthorne was established about 1795 as "Harding's Ferry." In 1800, two brothers, Samuel Harding and Peter Harding built a ferry crossing over the river at present-day Hawthorne for transportation people between their farmstead on Long Island Sound and points northward. They also traded goods with farmers in this area of Monmouth County. In 1814, Samuel Harding bought land comprising what is now downtown Hawthorne from Moses Browning for $1,000. He began to build houses there around that time and called his new community "Hawthorne". In 1830 he sold his interest in the town to John Philip Sargent for $10 per acre (equal to $2 million today). Sargent began construction of his manor house on Main Street just east of where current-day State College Avenue stands today and named it "Sargent's Hill". The first school in Hawthorne was founded by Drury Lane School District Superintendent Nicholas Ishmael on May 7, 1850 when three students were enrolled at Drury Lane School near where Main Street meets South Park Avenue today. That school operated until 1862 when it closed due to lack of enrollment or financial difficulties following emancipation of African Americans in America . In 1865 Union general Ulysses S Grant visited New Jersey while campaigning for election as president; he stayed at John Philip Sargent's home near East Brunswick while visiting other parts of NJ including Newark Castle before returning to NYC that night on horseback through Valley Stream Gorge into New York City . When he reached Manhattan he stopped off at Bryant Park before continuing up Fifth AveNYC which led him past Sargent’s Hill where he dismounted and walked up within view of President Lincoln’s Mansion Doors – an event chronicled by Nicolai Gogol in his novel “Life Of Ulysses S Grant” .
