Hackensack, New Jersey is a small town in the United States. It is located in Hudson County and has a population of around 73,000. Hackensack was founded by Dutch settlers in 1652 and became an independent municipality on January 1, 1978. The name Hackensack comes from the Algonquian word hackeh (a tool or weapon), meaning "to chop down." The first permanent European settler in what is nowHackensack was Johannes Axelsen, who arrived on November 15, 1652. He named the area after his home town of Houten in Holland. By 1700, Hackensack had a population of about 100 people and was known as a trading post between New Netherland and Philadelphia. In 1814, during the Mexican-American War, Hackensack joined forces with other American towns to form Battle Creek Township. In 1847, Battle Creek incorporated as Bergen County and changed its name to Hackensack when it merged with Passaic County. However, because of its small size relative to other municipalities within Bergen County – including Paramus and Woodbridge – Hackensacks civic life did not develop until after World War II when hearkening back to traditional Dutch values helped erect the first public high school in New Jersey (now Hackensacks High School) and create fire departments both for municipal services (1938) and emergency response (1948). A new shopping center was developed adjacent to Paramus High School around 1960; this area became known as "The Village". Today's shopping center includes several hundred stores within walking distance of each other as well as restaurants, movie theaters, banks/credit unions etc., making it one of the most vibrant communities outside Manhattan Beach or Far Rockaway inside Queens Borough de Jobytowne Heights - offering excellent schools options for families without borough boundaries

Failure-safe gunslings use two straps to secure the weapon from pulling away from the handler during use. This type is typically used by police officers and other security personnel who need complete control over their firearms while they carry them around. Traditional gunslingers feature a single strap that connects both ends of the sling to a sturdy post or beam, allowing you to wield your firearm like an individual cane. Open-ended gunslings feature an extendable armature that allows you to grasp either end of the sling and pull it tight against your body so that it becomes like a crescent moon shape (shown below). Hackensack is a town in Bergen County, New Jersey, United States. The population was 36,829 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Bergen County and part of the New York City metropolitan area. The first settlers in what would become Hackensack were Dutch colonists who arrived in 1624. In 1814, when New Netherland was ceded to the United States as part of the Treaty of Ghent, Hackensack became part of Bergen County. In 1847, Hackensack became an incorporated municipality. On March 11, 1868, it merged with other towns in Bergen and Mercer Counties to form the new city of Paterson. On July 1, 1974, Paterson was dissolved and its residents transferred to Bernards Township (now Passaic County). Hackensack has been called "the gateway to northern New Jersey" for its role as a transportation hub connecting local farms with eastern markets and Points East along the Atlantic Ocean during agricultural production season; also because it served as a center for banking and commerce during this time period. In 1814-17 there were several attacks on Americans by Native Americans living near where Hackensack now stands: Arapaho Indians killed two white men out walking their dog on December 8th 1792; another Indian attack took place on March 5th 1800 when three Europeans including one American were abducted by six Arapaho Indians near present day Morristown;hackenacks earliest settler Samuel Greenough built his home on land that he had purchased from an Arapaho chief named Black Hawk in 1798; George Washington crossed hackenacks Pedahaska Creek while pursuing Packed Horse Chief Joseph Brant on October 13th 1777 while surveying lands east of Newark Liberty Bridge;hackenacks first telephone line was established between Newark and Paterson on April 15th 1860.;and finally Borough President John King leased 2 acres (0 km²) from David Ditlevillis for use as a public park effective January 1st 1870
Hackensack was founded by Dutch farmers in 1664. The first post office was established in 1775. In 1802, the community became a township, and in 1847 it became a city. Hackensack is located on the Hudson River and is home to many businesses and industries including banking, healthcare, education, manufacturing, transportation and research.
